    Bof

    For info, before this equipment I had a 15 meter HDMI link.
    Also for the record, in 2018 I used the equivalent at Elite in HDBT: worked perfectly but was too sensitive to heat. It failed after 2 years.
    Finally, for information: I changed the HDMI cables, the RJ45 link (by placing a 2 meter cable for example), nothing helped. The problems listed below have persisted.
    4 problems have arisen with this equipment.

    1. a very high sensitivity to the clock frequency of the source. I had a mask of red and green lines at first, then I had a blue mask. Well, I solved the case;

    2. the image disappears regularly for 5 seconds. Unregardable. The Elite did the same thing to me when it was too hot: the electronic board would warp and ... bad contact. In the case of the StarTech, however, the cause does not seem to be the temperature;

    3. Artifacts appear in the image (whether the resolution is 4K or Full HD). Probably a bandwidth issue but even with a 2 meter Cat 6a it does the job. Not resolved;

    4. No sound: only crackles. The HDMI cables are sound compatible though (tested individually). I don't actually need the sound transmission, that's the amp's job, not the monitor's. But I paid for it!
    But I paid for it! :)

    Conclusion
    So, defective equipment (conclusion of the support I spent 1 hour with)?
    Maybe.
    But that's a lot of faulty equipment in this area (the Elite was faulty too)!
