The Silent Giant - Fractal Design Define 7 XL Solid Black

I recently assembled my new PC in the Fractal Design Define 7 XL Solid Noir case, and it was without doubt one of the best experiences I've had. The case is massive, offering incredible space for every imaginable component, including multiple radiators and hard drives, while allowing for clean and efficient cable management.

The first thing I noticed was the build quality. The chassis is robust and the materials are top quality. The sober, elegant design in matt black blends in perfectly with my working and gaming environment. The solid front door and sound-deadening panels ensure that my system remains silent, even when the components are pushed to their limits.

The modular system of this enclosure is impressive. The flexibility to configure the interior to my specific needs is a major asset. Whether it's a bulky air cooling system or a complex liquid cooling configuration, the Define 7 XL will accommodate it with ease.

Additional features, such as a removable motherboard tray, easy-to-clean dust filters, and plenty of expansion options, make assembling and maintaining my PC a real pleasure.

In conclusion, the Fractal Design Define 7 XL Solid Black is an exceptional case for those looking for space, modularity and quality design. It's an investment for enthusiasts and professionals who need the best for their high-end set-ups. Highly recommended for a no-compromise experience!

    Outstanding quality

10/10 is deserved for a product of this standing.
Enormous space that accommodates 2 GPU series 30XX without any problem. The walls are so soundproof that you don't know when the computer is on. Also I turned off all the LEDs for a silent mining ?? convenient at night.

    Beautiful and solid

He is handsome, tall and strong like me. I am very happy with it. It is very well thought out, the side panels clip on and off, which is very practical. It insulates very well from noise. Perfect for large configurations.

    This box is a roll!

    - When you open the case, it's pretty much set up for watercooling and SSD support.

If you only want to do classic air cooling, hard disk slots and an internal Blu-ray drive, it's feasible: there are already all the parts for 6 HDDs. But you'll have to unscrew and then reassemble a lot of things...

    - The whole front panel is already pre-wired, as well as the 3 fans 140 with the right cable passages. The only thing left to do is to connect the plugs to the motherboard.

Fractal has done a really good job. This case is a roll.

    Just arrived.... pleasantly surprised!

I ordered this box because I have a large number of mechanical disks (10 connected and 4 on the side) and I use them in RAID (0 + 1 + 10, soon RAID 50 ^^ if I dare to buy a good controller card). My problem was my inability to store my disks in my ANTEC P180. They were lying on the floor in 4 slot cages (or solo). This was not clean, risky, and the case was open all the time (incessant fouling).
I am delighted with the record time of delivery, less than a week ... knowing the current circumstances of the risks incurred with the COVID19, I would like to congratulate all the people who allowed the delivery of my package; and arrived in perfect condition.

As far as the product is concerned, it is beautiful, sober, the anodising of the surfaces is of excellent quality, the materials are of better quality than I imagined, it also seems very ergonomic and the layout of the spaces and volumes gives it ideal proportions for any intervention or modularity. The soundproofing seems very effective. The front panel connections (top) are of good quality and seem robust (I have a small suspicion about the Power and Reset switches, which seem to be micro-switches, so we'll have to see over time if they will remain reliable or functional in the long term). On the ventilation side, the multiple slots allow great customization and optimization of the heat release.
The accessory box is simply sufficient and the screw kits are there ^^. The possibility to change the top cover is an aesthetic plus.

Moreover, it would be nice if FRACTAL DESIGN could provide 2 more plates for the 3.5" discs (for the price... it would be justified).

I recommend this case to anyone who wants to build a server, a gaming or workstation PC and who likes sobriety or minimalism.

Thank you to all of you: LDLC, La Poste, possible intermediaries.
