advantage :

Very good price/performance ratio
disadvantage :
For this price, it's not a problem
It's a very good quality, solid, very good image. Do not hesitate to go for it, ASUS did not fail on this model!
Super Screen.
The pluses :
- IPS panel
- 144Hz
- Not too big or bulky
- Ultra thin edges
- On/Off screen button (one touch) & simple OSD
The cons :
- Too bad no Gsync but at this price you can't have everything
- No HDR.
When you use an IPS screen, it is difficult to switch to another type of VA or TN panel.
I'm switching from a BenQ EW3270U to a screen like this one and it's definitely more pleasant for games: smaller screen and a much lower blue light violation.
Very good colours and excellent response time.
It's intuitive and easy to use.
I rate it 9/10 because there is a light leak (I think that's what they call it) at the top, 4-5 cm long and 1.5 cm high, but it only shows up on a really black background (in games it doesn't show up).
Too bad there is only one HDMI socket.
There is a hdmi cable provided (version 1.4 I think). I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a premium high speed HDMI cable with ethernet for 144hz, but it's a good idea to use a display port for 144hz. I already had this cable so I don't need to buy another one.
I bought a VESA 100x100 articulated arm on another site and it's perfect!
For 210€ (or less if there's a promotion which was my case) it's worth it!
I have a question why it doesn't say that the DVI display cord is not supplied. Without the cord no 144htz? I'm disappointed Lack of precision, so to all when you want to buy an ASSU check that the cord is provided.
Greetings.
Very nice screen, large and sober!
Attention: contrary to what is indicated on the data sheet, **the stand is not adjustable in height**?
No DisplayPort cable supplied with the screen either, only HDMI.
* No dead pixels in the reception, uniform and powerful lighting (don't hesitate to lower the brightness, by the way), nice colours?
* The edges are very thin, even if it's not totally borderless (well 5?mm of total margin around the pixels).
* The "Gamer" setting brought out colours in addition to some of my wallpapers, it was unexpected but welcome!
*The VividPixel mode is awful (adds outlines everywhere and makes the text stand out like on a burnt out CRT), but maybe it's more an accessibility feature than a quality feature...
* The source selection is a bit tedious, but maybe it's a matter of habit: press a button, then select the source change, then navigate through all the sources (even the inactive ones), then finally validate... I have my PC and the console connected to the same screen, so it's a bit laborious, but I'll probably get used to it.
I'm not sure I'll ever get used to it, but I'm sure I'll get used to it... * In general, the idea of assigning functions to buttons dynamically is smart for UI designers, but what happens is that it adds two more button presses -?to display the UI and then choose which menu?- for any manipulation to be done.
Perfect screen for gaming. Sublime picture quality. Good size and no dead pixels. If you want a new screen for gaming I recommend it.
Great screen, not too big.
No dead pixels.
The menu is simple.
The stand is not too imposing.
I recommend it.
