    Very good quality DAC

This DAC is very good quality for a reasonable price and significantly improves the sound of a TV that was connected in jack => RCA to my vintage amp...
I've connected my TV optically to this DAC and I'm using the RCA DAC on my old amp, which doesn't have a Toslink socket. The sound is much more detailed now. Optical also eliminates any ground loops between the amp and the TV.
It's a detail, but the visual aspect is serious and there's a function I find useful: the DAC switches itself off after a certain time if it no longer receives an optical signal (TV off). This is handy if you forget to turn off the DAC after switching off the TV.

    Excellent

The sound reproduction is very satisfactory and compares favourably with my high-fidelity Rega CD player.

Best DAC at a reasonable price!

This DAC allows me to enjoy my Qobuz Studio subscription in the best possible conditions.
It is well designed, discreet and classy.
The LED display allows me to know at a glance if the digital signal is being processed at the quality transmitted to the DAC.
I can see that when Qobuz plays a track in Hi-Res 24bit 192kHz, it is indeed this same quality that is processed by the DAC.
And when it is CD quality, the LED changes position to confirm that it is CD quality that is being processed.
Be careful, there is a manipulation to be done to "debride" it in 192kHz (it takes a few seconds with a manipulation on the buttons). I don't understand why, but by default, it is limited to 96kHz, which can be frustrating if you have the same Qobuz subscription as I do, which offers more and more albums in maximum quality at 192kHz. So to sum up, this DAC can go up to 192kHz without worrying, but it is sold with a setting limiting it to 96kHz.
The sound quality is absolutely perfect. There is not a single hiss or electrical noise, it's incredibly pure. I still sometimes play my vinyl with a good valve cell and preamplifier for the pleasure of the roundness and warmth of the analogue sound, but with a DAC like this, an optimal digital source and a good NAD amplifier with 2 pairs of speakers connected to it, I must say that ALL listening becomes a real pleasure for the ears!
If you need a good DAC for your living room without going to unreasonable prices, this is the one you need.
Good listening to all audiophiles. :)

    Perfect!!!

I love this device and it works wonders when used with my Cambridge amp to make a media player from my PC. The sound quality is exceptional. The sound has been enhanced, compared to the sound delivered by a standard PC sound card. Even my old mp3 files sound much fuller and more expansive.
One thing is for sure it improves my music enormously...
