With a 16-core XMOS chip, MQA decoding and a high quality clock, iFi Audio unveils the ZEN DAC v2 to ensure audiophile listening every day. Still based on a symmetrical architecture, this model offers Hi-Res Audio listening with D/A conversion up to 24 bits/384 kHz and headphone amplification with PowerMatch and TrueBass. In addition, the complete connectivity will meet your expectations with two headphone outputs, a stereo audio output and a USB 3.0 type B audio input.
Hi-Res Audio DAC
Hi-Res Audio certified, the ZEN DAC v2 ensures a high quality audio experience by supporting PCM, DSD, DXD and MQA formats. The on-board Burr-Brown chip delivers its full potential to perfectly accompany your everyday audiophile listening. The symmetrical design delivers superior performance while minimising background noise for quiet operation.
This iFi Audio model has a USB 3.0 type B audio input and a stereo RCA analog output. Finally, the 4.4 mm jack output on the back is convenient for connecting your iFi Audio DAC to an amp or active speakers.
High-performance headphone amp
The ZEN DAC v2 is also a great headphone amp with its PowerMatch and TrueBass features. The former provides more power output to match your headphones while the latter will provide optimised bass for models that lack bass.
Benefit from a balanced 4.4mm and unbalanced 6.35mm headphone output and let yourself be transported to a most enjoyable musical journey!
I'm not an avid audiophile, I just wanted a system that offered an improvement over the PC sound card and I'm happy with it. The ability to have a sound and bass boost is a real plus for certain sounds.
Very good, robust all-metal construction.
For those who are wondering: the Windows master volume is inoperative with this system because the volume level is managed 100% by the DAC.
The volume of the playback application is operational.

Perfect
I have had it for about 1 month.
The DAC does the job perfectly and it inspires confidence (noble materials -no plastic- and it is relatively heavy).
Excellent to complete my hifi system, but not adapted to a nomadic use.

Excellent
I forgot to say that before this Zen DAC V2, I had an Ifi nano ione without a wired headphone jack, hence the reason for the switch to this Zen Dac V2. The bluetooth of the ione is a receiver, I thought that it made transmitter-receiver in order to transmit the sound of my nuci5 towards this one then it retransmits it towards my HP Dynaudio xeo 10 in bluetooth or it was not the case.

Excellent
Fabulous little product, heavy in weight compared to its size! On the sound side, my Sennheiser HD598 open headphones have grown in size, both in terms of bass and ultra bass up to 17-18hz, below that it's bof bof but it's already good, spatialization much more spaced out, the HF more chiseled, the top what! On the speaker side, on my pair of Dynaudio (superb manufacturer, too bad LDLC doesn't sell it) xeo 10 hifi, there too bass cleaner and more detailed, spatialization even better than in my headphones, the smallest sounds are heard. Mode of use in RCA for the speakers, in jack 6.35mm for the headphones, I prefer the sound without using the power match but with the TrueBass activated, the volume positioned on 13h, the richness of the sound is better heard and without frills (background noise) back! The small dot on the volume button should have been a led like the ones near the powermatch and TrueBass buttons but it is not so I painted it white to better see the volume position at night. The use of TrueBass is a great feature, boosting cleanly without distorting the rest of the spectrum! Really a little jewel this Zen Dac V2 for its price! Ah yes, in the specifications it says 24bit / 384khz or with my little nuci5 bought here and Zen Dac V2 connected in usb 3.0 and windows 10 I have the right to 32bit / 384khz without installing drivers from the official site! I tried their update, but it limited the zen dac to 24bit/192khz, so bye bye the update, I even think it's because of their software drivers in usb 2.0!!! very weird !!! no usb 3.0 drivers Mr Ifi ??? I'm still very satisfied with LDLC in terms of ordering, technical questions/answers, delivery time, prices after so many years here! Thank you!
