I've been using this product for a while now and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it for a long time. Product as a brand to be avoided
CM bought in combo with an i7 97000K, no problem on this side.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a different drive, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a different drive, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a different drive, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use a different drive.
It is a mistake on my part or is it the bios? Impossible to know. But I remain vigilant since!
Easy to install, the connections are well placed and do not interfere with the installation of a graphics card and an SDD in M2 PCIe
Motherboard bought 171€ to match my Corsair Carbide SPEC-DELTA RGB TG Black case. 77€.
I wanted to treat myself for the first time with RGB.
It is noted on LDLC: Compatible LED lighting ASUS Aura Sync.
The same goes for the case.
Great.
The card works fine. My Intel Core I3-9350K processor overclocked in 1 click to 5Ghz.
I then wanted to play with the RGB of my box ....... bad idea.
Aura Sync does not detect the RGB fans on my case.
1- Corsair support tells me that it should work and that aura sync recognizes the fans as RGB bands. Absolutely not!
2- Asus support tells me that it is normal because the motherboard is not Aura sync compatible! No further explanation. Great class at 171€ for a card ..... Goodbye Asus.
The only thing I can say is that this is a great motherboard, very powerful but for RGB, don't go there.
I am very disappointed for the money invested.
Ps: LDLC why do you display "ASUS Aura Sync LED lighting compatible" if it is not?
I've been using it for a while now and I'm not sure if it's a good one or a bad one, but it's a good one.
Replacing my old Asus P8P67. Not disappointed, nice aesthetics, just the right amount of connectors. I put an i7 9800k on it. 16GB of Ballistix 3200. The VRMs hold the CPU @ 5Ghz very well without grunting or even heating up. Contrary to what some youtuber drools over. ( this is the second one I've bought ) .
No surprise for the regulars of the brand. High performance, easy to set up and update bios. Easy to overclock.
Recommended without hesitation.
The card was of course handled with great care when it was installed in my new tower: Intel Core i7-9700 (3.0 GHz / 4.7 GHz) / Corsair Hydro Series H100x/ASUS PRIME Z390-P/Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO Series 16 GB (2x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz CL16/Corsair Force MP510 480 GB/Corsair Force MP510 1920 GB/Western Digital WD Blue 4 TB SATA 6Gb/s 64 MB/Cooler MasterBox MB520 RGB/Microsoft Windows 10 Home 32/64 bit - USB stick version/ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER DUAL-RTX2070S-O8G-EVO/Corsair RM750x 80PLUS Gold (all ordered on LDLC with great pleasure! ). I get a racing beast that powers up and runs demanding games like Destiny 2 without any problem and quickly, or even 3D decoration software (Sketchup).
The ASUS PRIME Z390-P card has a very good quality-price ratio, without sacrificing performance, quite the contrary! Very nice physical interface that accommodates the different components (M2 disks, SD, ram, processor, cables...). For those who are wondering, it does have an INTEGRATED RGB CONTROLLER (you can plug the fans directly on it). You'll just have to install an application you can find on Asus to make it work. The cover provided for the connectors on the back does not line up, so I was unable to install it. But this doesn't cause any problems with operation or dust, a detail that where it is placed doesn't spoil the final look of the tower at all.
In the end I highly recommend this motherboard which is designed to keep up with large configurations.
To upgrade an old PC under Ubuntu, equipped with an Intel I5 and 16G° of Corsair memory, easy installation, works very well. From Lubuntu I switch to Kubuntu.
This card is the cheapest with the Z390 chipset, and it's one of the most compact!
Unless you want to take advantage of 3 graphics cards with high transfer rates (I don't know who has this kind of configuration) this card offers a very rich pci connectivity.
The two M.2 ports allow you to mount very fast SSDs (1000Mb/s) and there is even a 3rd M.2 for a Wifi card (I haven't seen this on even the "big" cards!!)
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same card for all the other cards, but I'm sure it's a good idea to use the same card for all the other cards.
--- The + points :
- Very good connectivity
- I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the card as a standalone unit or as part of a larger system.
- M.2 ports
- socket centering (on all cards now)
--- The points - :
- The card is permanently "lit" from its circumference with yellow LEDs (not necessarily pleasant). No direct reset/on/off button on the card.
- not enough fan ports
- no adapter for the panel calables (diodes/on/off/speaker), and frankly once in the case it is the mega galère, not well Asus...
- only two Sata cables supplied
