Good quality motherboard but...
/This review may contain errors on my part regarding the negative points of Internet connections /!\
This motherboard has both positive and negative points. First of all, for the positive points: it is very detailed in terms of component connections (for memory slots in particular) and cables, and the big strength at this level is the colour coding for the case connectors, which are generally quite difficult to connect. In addition, the I/O Shield is pre-installed, which saves you a lot of work when you put it in your case. In addition, it has a lot of connections (USB 3.0, Ethernet, USB 3.2, USB 2.0, audio ports, ...) To finish on the positive points, it is pretty, the BIOS is quite easy to use and has a Z490 Express chipset, with a LGA 1200 processor socket, so it is powerful.
On the negative side, the first thing that disappointed me was that this motherboard does not have a built-in Wi-Fi chip, which means you will either have to buy a network card or change your motherboard if you are going to connect your PC to Wi-Fi. Secondly, if you are connecting via a cable, you will first need to install the drivers that come with the CD (so an extra drive/writer) to install and activate the Ethernet port on this one and then download the drivers online from the Gigabyte website. So a lot of procedures for not much in the end... especially in terms of budget. Finally, the BIOS update seems quite complicated and is not detailed in French. These are the only negative points I found on this motherboard. Apart from that, it remains a powerful motherboard, easy to use if you decide to mount your computer and compatible with the latest generation processors.
