The M2 card is working but is not getting anything even close to my livebox (only 10Mbs and intermittently instead of the expected 867Mbs).
It seems there are antenna kits available but they are very tricky to fit to the connectors on the base of the card. In short, this should be pointed out to customers.
It would be cool to mention that antennas are not provided. Even just a simple wire would have been nice. Until I receive them, unusable.
After changing box, my PC did not want to connect to the Internet anymore (DNS error). After a Windows reset and without much change, I deduced that the problem came from the wifi card (all the other devices were connected in wifi without problem). So I opened my PC to see which wifi card was inside so I could replace it. I quickly chose this Intel card, which has always been a reliable brand for me.
The new card was installed without any problem, it plugged in correctly in place of my old one. The only strange thing was that port 1 was labelled "aux" and port 2 "main" when normally you would see the opposite. Since I only have one antenna wire, I plugged it into port 1 and it worked: recognized directly by Windows, no need to install a driver or anything. I was able to connect to my wifi network without any problems and the connection was perfect. Thanks to this card, I even went from a 2.4Ghz network to a 5Ghz network.
I've been using this card for a while now and it's a good buy to replace a wifi card with the same standards.
The package was well received. Works perfectly, but does not pick up anything... It would be nice to have the antennas with...
The Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 is difficult to connect to antennas because of its very small connectors.
It should be reserved for a good handyman or a competent professional.
It is a pity that the antenna connectors are not supplied plugged in.
On the installation side of the card and its recognition under W10, no problem.
The problem was the size of the antenna connectors. Primary antenna, no problem. But with my big fingers and poor eyesight, I never managed to connect the secondary antenna. The equipment was far too small for me. I could never use it at 100/100. A shame. To be recommended to a person with good eyesight and thin fingers
Good Wifi card that perfectly replaces the one in my Asus UX 305 that had given up the ghost. Do not forget to connect the two antennas when mounting the card. The performance is similar to the original card.
