First of all, excellent service and really professional advice.
As for the product, it meets my needs exactly.
I have been using it for a long time and I am very happy with it.
Really pleased.
I didn't receive my entire order on the day it was placed, but the customer service department reacted very efficiently and I received everything the next day
So, I confirm that you need a jack with 4 terminals.
So if you want to put a classic stereo jack (PC type speakers), you need an adapter to switch from a 4 terminal jack to 2 classic stereo jacks (3 terminals).
The aim was to have only one cable.
The sound only works on one side: it seems that you have to use a jack with 4 "slots" (works with a headset + microphone): this is illogical since there is one output and one input.
Works under Xubuntu 18.04 (Linux Debian family) with a "utility" installed.
Very good value for money. Practical vertical format. All the necessary connections are provided including a vga/dvi adapter. 2 screens connected to it work perfectly. Very happy with this purchase for my asus R558UQ
