After the arrival of fibre, I installed the TP-LINK UH700 to replace the telephone box, and I replaced the telephone wiring with Ethernet cabling. I now have an Ethernet socket in every room in the house.
No problems with installation or key management.
I use it on a Mac with a Windows VM the keys are well detected
and the switch is a good idea no need to unplug just turn off and on
It's a good usb hub but you have to fix it with something so you don't have to hold it with both hands to plug or unplug something.
The on/off button only works when the hub is plugged into the mains.
Power supply provided. Very good build quality. The only drawback is the length of the USB3 cable, which is a bit short to place the switch properly on a large desk.
It was just what I needed to operate my computer which has only one USB 3.0 port. It's very easy to use, just plug it in and it works, even under Ubuntu which is automatically recognized without any problem. The only drawback is that the cables take up a bit of space, but we can live with that...
Very useful for connecting several hard drives and peripherals at the same time. With the external power supply that supplies 3 ports with 5 Volt 1.5 Ampere you can be sure to keep your hard drives powered up and even charge your smartphone
Correct construction, correct price compared to the competition (not counting the Chinese copies which are perhaps less reliable)
Data transfer is good, I didn't do a performance comparison but overall it's fast like standard USB 3
The first HUB I found on the internet that lasts more than a month of use and that after 3/4 months of use still has no problems.

Great product
Bought to replace an older model that didn't have enough ports available. No installation problems, two cables to plug in and it's operational straight away.
It's really practical to use and the icing on the cake is the autonomous operation. I can charge my phone on the dedicated ports even if the computer is switched off. The fast charge works well on my note 8 and galaxy s7.
The 7 ports are a plus when using a laptop as your main computer with all the junk you have to connect.
I bought this hub to integrate into my new setup which required 5 more ports.
The TP-LINK UH 700 was recognized directly by my computer: no problem with installation or recognition of the various devices added.
