Gives service but at a minimum
Assembled by LDLC, the hub is wired to the motherboard via a USB c/USB A adapter.
The transfer rate is lower than the normal rate of a USB 2 socket, and the power supply accepts a USB flash drive but will not power a small external hard drive (except SSDs).
Connecting the power supply directly to the ali block hasn't changed anything in terms of accepting external hard drives.
I've moved away from the motherboard connection to a direct connection to an external usb socket, which has brought the transfer rate down to more acceptable levels.
Good for USB sticks, but very random for external hard drives.
