I was looking to add usb 3.0 ports to my PC that would blend in with my desktop.
This usb hub does just that. It is slotted enough to fit on the side of a protruding desk.
Be careful, the support should not exceed about 30mm thick because the device comes to make a clamp.
It has a bluish LED that signals power on.
The hub comes with a usb cable for use.
It looks like a sturdy construction and is easy to attach.
Mine works well, to be checked with time.
My laptop very cleverly has all its USB sockets on the back. With this hub, which I fixed to a post on the side of the table, I gained 4 USB sockets easily available for (for example) plugging and unplugging USB sticks, with one hand (!) and without having to fold up the screen and fumble around behind it.
Note that the depth of the clamp is small (0.5 cm), so provide a square support (no more than 3 cm thick!). The clamp is covered on both sides with rubber and will not damage anything. The all-aluminium construction promises good strength.
