Excellent for relaxing reading
I chose the Go 10.3 for reading and thinking, reading articles, annotating them and summarising texts, reading newspapers, books and manga.
I'm very happy with my purchase, but ultimately also for other reasons that I wasn't expecting.
Firstly, the screen is superb. I found myself drawing a little comic book of my own, because the ink is so deep and black. I started downloading drawing books and reproducing trees, leaves and characters with fascination directly in the margin, because with Neoreader, you quickly get the hang of highlighting, drawing and leaving notes everywhere!
The mangas are superb, and dithering makes viewing my black and white photos a real pleasure in the few compatible applications and on the screen saver.
I've put my sofa by the window and I'm drawing, reading and working in the sun, with a laptop as a second screen.
Another surprise is typing. My handwriting is well recognised and yet it's horrible. So I'm doing without a keyboard and writing my university work directly with a stylus. I'm learning to write better and to stop clutching my pen.
The original stylus is very good and I don't see why I should get another one at my level. It's thick and heavier than a conventional pen, the plastic is good quality and it feels good in the hand. Not having buttons like others means you can concentrate on what's important.
I've picked up an Ali folio, and I'm waiting for Wacom and sub-brand mines. For people who write with Bic, a lead can flatten out in a week, so be sure to stock up!
Multitasking and copying and pasting need to be improved, as the work is not as fast as with a laptop.
Bring a small lamp with a soft light for reading in the evening.
Customising the home screen would be a plus, like a strap on the back to hold it in one hand so you can take notes standing up.
