Good screen, but annoying ghosting
This is the first time I've had a 32-inch, and I suppose the first time I've had a VA panel.
So I discovered ghosting. I didn't know what it was, I'd never experienced it before. And boy, is it annoying.
It makes text on a black background absolutely unreadable when scrolling and it gives a blurred impression on absolutely all games. I haven't noticed any problems with films/series/anime (possibly less noticeable).
Of course, I've tried all sorts of different settings, scoured the web looking for a solution, tried to update the firmware (the screen switches off and on again without updating), but to no avail. I think that's the last time I'll ever use a VA panel.
That was the negative.
Now this screen has a lot of positives, yes it does.
The black areas: before this screen I had a 27-inch with very dirty blacks (blatant backlighting), which prompted me to change. I have to admit that on this screen the blacks are clean. A real treat.
Add to that Dynamic HDR, which I'm also discovering (what a slap in the face on FFXVI). It changes a lot of things.
And of course the superb native resolution of 2560x1440, which can go up to 160 Hz (personally I stay at max 120, my 3080 struggles to keep up otherwise).
Compatibility with VESA is a plus that I plan to exploit in the near future.
In short, I'm delighted on all counts, except for this ghosting. Next screen, I'll look into ghosting first.
