My smart TV was a bit slow, I had lags on some 4k files, but now it's fine. It's a very handy little thing.
Excellent product, perfect for anyone with a conventional TV, the Google Chromecast transforms your TV into a Smart TV, user-friendly remote control, synchronisation with Google home dynamic home screen.
I hesitated a long time to choose the brand (between ethics, personal data, etc.), I bought it for my video projector which I was able to link at start-up. Good wifi data transmission, very few problems.
Chromecast remains a Google product with Google's problems. I encountered a few Android-related bugs. But I was soon able to access the dev settings with 2-3 tutorials, install SmartTube to avoid over-advertising. But there's no escaping it and it's still a living room bug that works with Google Home.
The negative point: it needs to be plugged into the mains, I've been hallucinating. I have a port dedicated to TV dongles on my video projector, and the Chromecast refuses it, even though it has the required power.

I had 2 BoxTv with latency problems, impossible maj for some apps, and most of all, as if by chance, the power adapter systematically broke down. I'm not sure what to do.
I opted for the ChromeCast because of the native Android system and also because of the quality of the BoxTv. I'm not disappointed at all, despite the fact that it took a little while to get used to it, I was reluctant to download googlehome and set it up, but I managed to finalize the installation without setting up googlehome. I have to say that the interface is fluid/quick, installation/upgrades of apps ho top, no hassle, I use netflix, amazon prime video, molotove tv, zero crashes.
In the end I recommend it.

Great product, with finally the possibility to move it easily to friends without having to redo the wifi configuration via GoogleHome. This time the remote control allows you to switch the wifi network and it's gone.
In addition, the ability to install google store apps makes it IPTV compatible.
This is the ideal module to give a new lease of life to your old TV that was not yet a smartTV.
I haven't tested the usb-c port yet, but it looks promising for expansion.

Transforming an obsolete TV into a smart TV was the goal.
Easy to configure and especially easy to move, because no more need to reconfigure everything to change wifi. Much more intuitive than the 1st version.

Everything you need to enjoy your streaming services. The new Android TV interface is cool because it brings together what seems to be available services. A little plus that I didn't have before with the classic Chromecast: being able to connect a bluetooth device. Spotify my TV and my bluetooth speaker get along perfectly ????
Works very well for my Sony TV bought in 2018 and which was too old to receive all the programmes (and yes consumer society :-) . I can finally watch all the Arte programmes again and take advantage of VOD sites to watch films on a screen bigger than a PC. Long live LaCinetek!
The only drawback is that there is no usb plug. The only downside is that there is no usb socket, so you have to use a usb-c hub if you want to plug in a hard drive. I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good product, and I'm not sure I'll be able to use it again in the future. Very good product.
I was very disappointed with the customer service and the double talk. I was very disappointed by the customer service and this double talk. I was sent a first email to ask why my parcel has not moved (payment confirmation) for 2 days.
The first response was that shipping to overseas is more complex.
A second email is sent after 4 days (working days), I am told that my order is divided into several packages.
After a call to customer service, I was told that it was a Velcro tape that was being sent (inter-depot).
5 days later (i.e. 10 days after the payment of my order), there are email exchanges telling me that it is the Google Chromecast that is being restocked!
The order finally leaves 12 days later, and I receive everything in one package.
I can understand that there is a delay, but that the customer service lies several times, it's shameful!
The result of the "Android Box", with the features of the chromecast. A small example: I am with Voo for TV, I installed a second TV in a room at the other end of the house, but without having to pull a coax cable for the antenna, I just installed a Google chromecast tv with the Voomotion application and here I have the same channels as on my Box escape . Really good

Better wifi than normal Chromecasts. It cuts out much less often when streaming.
However, it is only moderately compatible with the logitech harmony hub, you have to manually add the "power on" command, and it doesn't work every time.
I bought this chromecast in the hope that I could use my amazon prime video subscription on my TV. So I download the amazon prime video app via the Google TV Chromecast, install it, enter my credentials, register the Chromecast in my amazon account. The application launches, but I can't play the video. Each time the same screen: "an error has occurred...". I try all the solutions given by amazon, google, internet users, nothing works... I put 70 € in the void!
I was very pleased with the quality of the product and the service.
