Perfect, fast delivery, well packaged, works well
The TL-MR6400 meets my needs perfectly. The control interface is well designed and the device works very well. Good product and as serious as ever from LDLC. Bravo !

Fast reception.
This modem router works perfectly. Quick and clear configuration thanks to its web page in French.
I use a small Bouygues package of 1 Giga and no connection problems.
The speed is correct, see the screenshot attached to this review.
Another positive point is the Tether application for iPad, which works perfectly and, among other things, allows you to send an SMS automatically if you exceed your 4G package, with an adjustable threshold, as well as a fully configurable pre-alert threshold.
There's also a guest Wifi
Always impeccable.
Very easy to set up and much higher bandwidth than ADSL.
Lots of interesting options.
This is the second one I've installed.
This version no longer has an on/off button on the back of the box, but the antennae are removable, which is handy if you want to install remote antennae.
Regularly every 72h or so I lost the connection, a reboot would fix the issue temporarily.
I had to set up a daily reboot around 3am to fix the problem permanently, very very easy via the app, but I could have done without it...
I am really happy with this modem router which allows me to have a Wi-Fi connection that I could no longer have with my smartphone using connection sharing. It works very well and I recommend it.
Sincerely
Very easy to install and configure, I use it in the countryside in an "almost digital desert" (weak signal) with a low cost SIM card and it works perfectly. I am very satisfied with it.
Very easy to use product, I have just received my BOUYGUES SIM card, activation of the latter via a telephone to make a "normal" activation, insertion in the router, and it's gone! No disconnection (Wifi / LAN), very satisfactory speed (in any case much better than ADSL), being two connected at the same time on a PC in LAN and the other on his phone in wifi, no problem. I would like to point out that I am not in the city and I can reach 30/mbs (and yet 4g has only two bars out of four)
I have to see in the future but I have the impression that the problems BOUYGUES raised in some comments saying that it is not compatible has been corrected. I would modify my comment if I realize that such problems appear.
It's very easy to configure, just push the sim into the modem, go to the admin page to set up the parameters for the first time and off it goes! Very stable during use. The dashboard is nicer and more friendly than the D-Link one of the same range. The details that make you happy: a RJ45 + nano to micro SIM adapter included!
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same device as the D-Link, but it's a good idea to use the same device as the D-Link, so I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use the same device as the D-Link, or not. This blew a pin I guess in the SIM reader! In short unusable after 1 week, the tplink does not recognize any SIM with a new adapter Nano-Micro. 100 euros for one week of use, that puts a bit the balls...
Excellent router, works great in 4g, just the antennas are a bit hard to keep up but otherwise very good product I recommend
After several tests and contact with the TP Link technical department,
the modem does not work with Boygues sim cards unless you take the multisim option with Bouygues.
No problems with other operators
Simple product that works well. Quick to set up.
Well done admin/web interface, showing communication status well.
It works, but it seems that this router does not work very well with all networks; this opinion is based on my personal experience, with a Bouygues B&You subscription, but it is also what I found on forums.
I finally found a configuration on a forum that works, but you have to reboot the router once or twice a day.
It seems that it works better with SosH;
As it's probably due to Bouygues rather than TP Link, I'll give it 4 stars anyway.
The more the weeks go by, the more I have to restart it, or put the sim card back in, or even reset it, to get back the speed (30Mb/s).
However, a video can continue in HD when all other access is suddenly impossible, stopping the video is useless.
At first (it was a few months ago), restarting weekly, then daily, then... several times an hour. Even a reset (factory settings) does nothing. I've tried several sim cards, several providers (SFR, Orange, Bouygues), same symptoms. I've been trying to get my phone to share a connection, but there is no stability problem. Change of equipment at once....
Meets my expectations perfectly. It allows me to have 50 M/s instead of 6 by Adsl.
I added an antenna but finally the antennas already provided are as powerful.

Bought in a hurry to compensate for the failure of a box. Top emergency delivery: delivered the next day at 8am!
Bought a sim card with a prepaid offer. We put the sim card inside and off we go: wifi everywhere in the house!
There are many possible settings via the admin console of the router, but I have not spent enough time to talk about it.
Great for troubleshooting a capricious box (with a capricious ISP .....)
This router is very powerful, but it is not enough to plug it in for it to work, you have to set it up as if you were doing it on your smartphone by entering the apn etc... I find it excellent for what I do with it and I recommend it.
Bought several of them to have an Internet access for the supervision of photovoltaic sites. Works very well.
The support service does not answer the phone but responds by email at the minute.
The only downside is that the size of the SIM card is not mentioned, I had to cut it out to make it fit (micro-SIM I think).
I had to connect to the wire for the settings and the menus are in English.
Once I got past the settings, the speed was excellent, 18Mps in 4G in my country, which is unheard of!
In addition, the Wifi works very well.
The connection is quick, even for a non-professional. I'm very happy with the speed of the connection compared to the ADSL in my home.
But I have a surprising problem: There is an incompatibility between this router and the AVAST (premium) antivirus: Updates are impossible: According to Avast, the file signatures have changed. Despite a complete reinstallation of Avast, no solution seems possible. I found only one post on the Internet describing exactly the same problem. I have to update my antivirus via ADSL or my smartphone used as a modem. Not easy! There is no problem on another PC with NORTON. The configurations are very comparable on Windows 10
I live in a place where I have ADSL with poor internet speed.
So I use my mobile phone subscription to fill the gap with 4G.
Strong points:
- Very versatile (sim card port, wi-fi, 4 internet ports)
- Does its job very well
- No technical problems
- Easy to use
Areas for improvement:
- The price is too high
- The installation guide for the first installation is not clear enough.
Recommendable product
Very good data rate with external SMA antenna (too thick).
Good wifi range.
LAN/WAN port very useful.
Good product, easy to install. However, the product is not as good as my phone in the same place (Wiko U-Feel).
I am still satisfied with the product because it is more efficient than a bad ADSL (I did *10 in speed)
Aesthetic and efficient, that's all I ask
compatible with all Sim cards
Only drawback: interface only in English
Also lacks a software to keep track of received sms
Good 4G reception
This device, very easy to install, proved to be less sensitive than my smartphone in 4G, but especially the brightness of the white LED signage is clearly insufficient to be seen in a normally lit room, and no possibility to adjust it since the box is virtually unmountable.
As for the 48h shipping time at LDLC, it's hard to find faster and cheaper!
I am a fan of TP Link in general as they make very good products with good value for money. This 4G modem in particular is very functional and very stable. I use it when my internet box goes down and it is always there to save me. Highly recommend it!
If, like me, you prefer wired connections to wi-fi, if you refuse to be addicted to a mobile phone while keeping access to the internet outside your home and if you want to reduce your subscription costs, then consider the modem-router solution.
The TP-LINK-MR6400 meets my expectations perfectly. It is very easy to install and allows access to the Internet and to email (for me: Thunderbird) or to WebMails (for me: RoundCube or Zimbra). The only difficulties that can be encountered are at the level of ISPs (cancellations, conservation of the email address...), in no case at the level of the device.
This is an alternative solution; other alternative solutions exist such as buying a computer without an operating system from LDLC and putting Linux on it. You will then see the excellent compatibility with the TP-LINK.
With kind regards.
The design is sleek, it is very easy to use, reliable. I recommend it to all users who are not very strong in network configuration. The dashboard is fluid and intuitive, accessible to all.
Does the job, good signal reception.
Complete and easy to use administration.
good and complete packaging, well made material.
white nickel led with signal status.
LDLC fast
I am very pleased with the product and the service.
I'm very pleased with the service and the quality of the product, and I'm very pleased with the quality of the product.
The 4G connection is very useful for troubleshooting while waiting for the fibre to be installed in my home.
Sometimes the connection jumps, but I don't know if it's because of the router or the Free Mobile connection. I'm leaning towards the second option.
I recommend this router, it does its job effectively.
Thanks to this 4G router, I now have more than 30 MBps in download and almost 30 MBps in upload (up to 35.15 DL and 28.88 UL with Speedtest on an android smartphone with Speedtest in Wifi on this router) using a subscription and a dedicated Free SIM card (when you like it, you don't count). The reception is much better than with my smartphone and the speed is also much better.
Compared to my ADSL at about 5 km from the DSLAM, it's night and day.
I've been using it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to use it again. A good product!
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to place it near a window to avoid being penalized by the signal strength.
The router is used in a house where the ADSL internet speed is low but the 4G coverage is good. The router does the job very well. It is very easy to install, and the configuration is complete and easy.
Living in the country the internet network is not great. So with the interesting offers of 4g packages I took the plunge and bought this 4g router to avoid sharing my connection via my mobile phone.
I've been using the router for a while now and it's been a great help to me to get it up and running.
I'm going from a 2/3 Mb/s ADSL connection to 50/70Mb/s, just great.
I have to keep an eye on the mobile phone offers to get a card from each operator at an interesting rate to accumulate Gigas and consider getting rid of the box subscription to go to full 4g :)
I've been using this router for a while now and I'm very happy with the way it works.
Once connected it broadcasts in wifi or Ethernet ten times faster than with my old ISP...
I'm not sure I'll be able to use it again, but I'm sure I'll be able to use it again and again.
I bought this 4g modem in order to bring internet to a building far from home. Thanks to the new 4g data plans and a twin card, I have almost reached my goal. The "almost" comes from SFR who is slow to activate my second sim card. I have tested the modem with my main card and it works great. It works better than my ADSL. I'm very happy with this purchase
I wanted a router with a built-in SIM card. This one is perfect! It has excellent reception with its two antennas, and if that is not enough, there is the possibility of installing one or two remote antennas. The 3 built-in wifi antennas are very powerful.
Living several dozen kilometres away from any trace of civilization (except a 4G antenna apparently!) this router is perfect to replace the old phone line
+:
- up to 22,5 Mbps down and 14,3 Mpbs up!
- quick and easy installation
- LEDs not too visible to sleep at night!
-:
- I couldn't find any!
This device, very easy to install, proved to be less sensitive than my smartphone in 4G, but especially the brightness of the white LED signage is clearly insufficient to be seen in a normally lit room, and no possibility of adjusting it since the case is virtually unmountable.
As for the 48h shipping time at LDLC, you can find faster and not more expensive!
It's easy: you insert your SIM card and access it by wifi from your PC, tablet or smartphone.
If you have a good 4G connection and a package with a few GB, it replaces a medium-speed box for surfing the Internet.
And the size remains reasonable to take it with you.
