impecable goes well with my old Antec 200 V2 case yeah it's not young but it's cool to mount a brand new powerful PC in a case that dates back to 2010 and given that water cooling and AIOs are ridiculous unless you have an overclocked I9 which is also ridiculous the old Antec does the job perfectly!

It's great for playing Blu-ray films. Sometimes the film stops playing if the Blu-ray is dirty or scratched: it's better to make an ISO image of the Blu-ray with DVDFab on the disc before watching the film in this case (or use the DVDFab UHD Drive Tool to play 4K UHD Blu-rays: it works well with this Blu-ray player).
Works perfectly with CDs, DVDs and Blurays. Slightly noisy, but nothing unusual for an optical drive.
I use Freemake almost all the time... The burner accepts all double-layer dvds but not "classic" dvds in "convert then burn" mode; Firmware problem according to Wondershare too. I had to install Alcohol 120 which would have installed something that made this possible.
I had to convert to ISO and then burn the iso to DVD. It's not restrictive, but it's weird.
Be careful NOT to scratch Blu-Rays!! contrary to what ASUS says on its own page. That's a bit limiting!
After a few uses, the player works very well.
It is well fixed and quieter than the other DvD players/writers in the house.

Many of our Blu-ray movies are encrypted and open source (free) software like VLC and others, can't always play them.
So you are faced with the need to buy software (such as Power DVD, or others) to play your purchased Blu-ray.
We have opted for a solution that we cannot decently recommend... It's appalling.
I'm not sure what to say, this blu-ray player does its job well (for me who uses it mainly to play blu-ray and DVD movies, burn audio CDs and install software via DVD).
Not much to say, this blu-ray reader do what it's made for fine (for me who use it essentially to watch movies in blu-ray and DVD, burn audio CD et install softwares with DVD).
I received a broken product, the drawer does not open, with the sound of a broken part in the case... it must be said that the protection in the package is non-existent, given the softness of our carrier, it does not surprise me that the player did not hold up!
I bought this product last year and it no longer works for Blu-ray,
I have tried to find or update the drivers, but nothing works, I can only read CDs and DVDs, some advice would be appreciated or I could buy another one, but I don't feel like it anymore...
we still need a bit of a reader!
So even if it's not for everyday use, this one does the job, and it's pretty good for manufacturing, where the trend is towards light weight!

I was looking for a CD/DVD/BlueRay drive with a CD/DVD burner. It seems that this is not that common. Most drives are either CD/DVD only (read and write) or read/write also for BlueRay (and not at the same price).
This product was exactly what I wanted at a fair price. Furthermore, it passed my tests and met my specifications in terms of reading and writing.

I've tried Leon on Blu-ray with the VLC player (2.2.1) and it launches well but I can't get past the first chapter, the fault lies with the lack of free and efficient software for Blu-ray.
Not too expensive for blu-ray playback. A bit noisy during playback though... But it does its job, for this price we won't say anything. I recommend it without hesitation.

I'm not sure what to say, but this is a good product, easy to install, no problems with use, installed in a zalman z 11 tower, good design for the purist, just a little noisy, nothing too violent in continuous use.

It is necessary to have a software to read the blue ray, like power dvd.

Good product, intended to replace a Blu-Ray player/DVD burner which had worked too much, and which had, among other things, "anxieties" to recognise certain media, despite the firmware upgrade...
Installation under W10 without any problem, the problem of DVD recognition for burning should "calm down" with this model, as the "new" types of DVDs put on the market are becoming a bit rarer...
No comment on the LDLC delivery, which is still impeccable, except for the cushioning which should be improved, your foreign competitors do much better!
