This USB-A external Blu-ray burner is compatible with a wide range of optical discs. It will read a 100 GB BDXL as well as a simple 700 MB CD! The award-winning Nero Burning and Archiving software supplied includes a host of special features such as DiscSpan, MediaHome and SecureDiscd technology to help you organise, burn and archive your important files efficiently. Verbatim has done a good job with this model of burner, as far as I'm concerned: with an HP Pavilion PC, I had to plug in 2 USBs + the power adapter supplied. However, be careful, the 2 USBs must not be plugged into the same USB HUB, otherwise the drive will stop/restart unexpectedly. Everything else is fine, and there's even a 25GB bluray in the box. The CD-ROM and instructions are in French.
