Overview

Gaming screen with 27" 180 Hz IPS panel

Designed primarily for gaming, the Philips Evnia 27M2N5500 monitor combines image quality with ease of use. With its large, high-resolution 27-inch IPS screen, DisplayHDR 400 certification, fast response time and image frequency of up to 180 Hz, you can be sure of a smooth, colourful display. Its ergonomic stand with swivel and height adjustment also optimises comfort levels.

A superb, fluid image

With its 27-inch IPS panel, the Philips Evnia 27M2N5500 offers rich, bright colours and wide viewing angles. SmartContrast mode will transform your viewing experience with deeper blacks. SmartContrast is a Philips technology that analyses the content you are viewing, automatically adjusting colours and controlling backlight intensity to improve contrast. The QHD (2560 x 1440) resolution available on this Philips monitor is ideal for your viewing needs, with a high level of detail.

What's more, this monitor boasts an image frequency of 180 Hz (via DisplayPort). Your enemies' movements will be displayed extremely smoothly and you'll be able to target them with ease.

DisplayHDR 400 certification

The DisplayHDR 400 standard certified by VESA offers a completely different experience to that of a conventional SDR monitor. Unlike other 'HDR compatible' displays, a true DisplayHDR 400 display produces superior levels of brightness, contrast and colour. With global dimming and a peak brightness of up to 400 nits, images come to life, with beautiful luminous detail and deeper, more nuanced blacks.

Incorrect data sheet at time of purchase

A simple monitor that meets my needs, except for one thing: the specification sheet mentioned USB ports, but there are none.
Another minor disappointment was that I wanted to connect this monitor in series with another via a displayport cable (as is the case at work). This works, but the image on the Philips screen vibrates, making the second screen unusable.
