Tamron offers you the world's first lens for your Sony APS-C camera, ranging from 17mm ultra-wide-angle to 50mm standard focal length. The 17-50mm F/4 Di III VXD (model A068) covers a versatile focal range from ultra-wide angle to standard focal lengths - no need to change lenses. From landscapes to portraits and travel photography, you can shoot a multitude of situations with just one compact lens. It can also shoot at close range, with a minimum focusing distance of 0.19 m at 17 mm and 0.3 m at 50 mm. What's more, its constant F4 aperture makes it ideal not only for photography but also for video. The 17-50mm F4 will considerably broaden your field of expression, opening the way to completely new photographic experiences.

The optical construction of the 17-50mm F4 consists of 15 elements divided into 13 groups. A set of special lenses, including three LD lenses, one GM lens and two hybrid aspherical lenses, effectively suppress chromatic aberrations and other aberrations. Precise, sharp full-frame resolution and the bokeh achieved at full F4 aperture bring you closer to the perfect shot.
The 17-50mm F4 weighs just 460g and is 114.4mm long, a well-balanced size even when attached to the body. The lens has a fixed length and an internal zoom mechanism, making it easy to focus when taking photos or videos, and to balance with a stabiliser. The 17-50mm F4 features a moisture-resistant construction and fluorine coating on the front and back surfaces of the lens for durability in natural environments.
Voice-Coil Extreme-Torque Drive: VXD autofocus ensures fast, accurate focusing on objects both near and far. The silent focus motor reacts at lightning speed and is particularly suitable for images of moving objects.
