I bought this model with an Intel i9 in the hope that the cloud updates would be quicker at the start of the session than my previous Asus. For the moment the roof is OK, but with the memory inflation of Microsoft software, I may have to switch to 32Mb.
On the other hand, battery management doesn't offer any flexibility between economy mode and plugged-in mode.
After some research, I opted for the Asus vivobook and I'm not disappointed.
With a few adjustments and adaptations, I was able to take advantage of its components, particularly when editing photos with several screens.
There's no noise despite long calculations, and the graphics card takes up the slack nicely.
For my simple office use, it's oversized! The screen and keyboard are very comfortable.
Its size and weight make it a powerful, highly mobile tool.
LDLC? Never disappointed in 10 years!
After the many broken hinges on MSIs, I wanted a metal chassis and a high-performance pro tool. On the hardware side: magnificent screen, 2 M2 ports, I regret the 8GB of memory soldered in to save a connector, the Nvidia chip is perfect and the keyboard pleasant. BUT it's rated for professional use with W11 family! I knew that when I ordered it, but it's even worse than I imagined, it's impossible to work in a professional environment with this. The 1TB disk isn't even partitioned properly, and no work functions can be configured.
The only solution: a complete raz, mount a second disk (480 GB for example) to install W11 pro and turn the 1 TB disk into a working disk, which amounts to a PC without an OS. But with 13-generation processors, we're discovering new subtleties!
After all that, I've got a machine that works and is pleasant to use on a daily basis
It's a little war machine with great value for money. I'm a freelance graphic/web designer and run all my tools perfectly (Adobe suite, using several programs at the same time). I haven't tried 3D yet, but that remains to be seen. Whether it's editing, photomontage or vector design, everything works well. I now use it as my main computer, at home coupled with an Iiyama G-master Blackhawk 24.5 (no problem managing a second screen for the PC) and as is when I'm away from home. It's almost a shame not to be able to take full advantage of this superlative OLED screen when I'm at home. In terms of video games, I've tested it less at the moment, but in any case AC Mirage and Cyberpunk both run without a problem at +60 FPS without being in performance mode.
Creation 5/5, Office 5/5, Multimedia 4/5 (the sound is good but aggressive I find), Video games 4/5; Autonomy 4/5
+1 for the biometric reader, which saves me a lot of time writing down my password when I'm using Google's password manager.
-1 after plugging in my keyboard and mouse, I no longer have a USB port available, which is a major weak point (there are still 2 USB type Cs and 1 SD card slot available).
Sincerely, this product is a real competitor to the MacBook (better in real life).
The LDLC and Chronopost delivery and tracking service is top notch.
