Designed by GG Ironclad v2 is a top-of-the-range mechanical keyboard with hot-swappable switches. This new version (v2) offers full compatibility with 3 and 5 pin switches. By replacing solder with an armature that makes electrical contact, Ironclad v2 allows you to replace any switch simply by unclipping it and reclipping another. Not only can you customise the switch to suit your needs, but you can also extend its life indefinitely by replacing only the most heavily used switches.
Unparalleled comfort
The Designed by GG Ironclad v2 has been meticulously designed. Every switch on the keyboard has been lubricated with a PFPE-based grease, improving glide, reducing noise and, above all, eliminating the resonance typical of mechanical keyboards. The stabilisers, lubricated with PFPE and cushioned by a silicone pad, send out no metallic echoes. The noisy scraping of the space bar will be a thing of the past.
As for the keys made from PBT, they offer you extra resistance to abrasion. Unlike ABS keys, PBT is chemically inert and does not develop a greasy texture after prolonged contact with the skin. The key lettering is thermoformed. The letters on the keys are not just engraved in surface paint, they are formed by a plastic structure running through the entire shell. This method guarantees that the marking will last over time. With a thickness of 1.4 mm instead of the standard 0.8 mm, these keys are also much more resistant.
Gateron Brown Mod switches
The Designed by GG Ironclad v2 features Gateron Brown Mod switches. These are a customised version of the Gateron Brown switches. They are factory-lubricated and offer superior glide and reduced noise. A light touch provides precise confirmation of the keystroke.
