Nickel after the 1080, the 3050, moved to the RTX 4070, whouaa the VR nickel with the REVERB-2, simulation FS2020, DCS perfect all is fluid, happiness without this ruined, and LDLC as always delivery and packaging correct, without excessive cardboard.
I chose this card because it still offers an 8-pin power port, which has enabled me to upgrade my configuration from a 4060 without having to worry about replacing the power supply or buying a 12+4-pin adapter.
However, don't be fooled by the '2 fans' aspect. You might think it's a small card, but it's actually quite imposing compared to a 2-fan 4060. It does need 2.5 slots of height, but more importantly the cooling block also protrudes very high over the mounting plate, which meant I had to cut into the plastic of my screwless mounting system to get it in without forcing it.
Otherwise, in actual fact, it delivers in terms of FPS and relatively silently. You can hear the card working when it heats up, but that's not a problem.
As for performance, it's a 4070, so it's surprising even after a 4060: 80 fps in cyberpunk in medium raytracing mode on a 2560x1440 screen is very pleasing.
Owning a Ryzen5 5600X , I changed my RTX 3060 kfa2 12go for this RTX 4070 .
I mainly wanted to improve my performance on MSFS. Big mistake ! It was necessary to change motherboard and to take a good Intel of the families!
For the other games, however, it's a hit! It's simply more powerful than my current CPU.
In load in 1440p ultra all passes like a letter has the post office. what to say more has to say that it consumed for the moment to the max that 186w
The 3080 consumes more power than the 6800xt for the same performance, and the 6800xt consumes almost 150w more.
The dlss 3 is a gimmick for the moment because it's not very available but the Ray tracing is sublime. The card has a dual bios, it has potential for overclocking.
It's ultra quiet in "quiet" bios, it's a treat. It's a shame it's not 100€ cheaper.
