Very good headphones with excellent sound. The dual connectivity and the numerous configuration options in the software give it a wide range of uses. They also last a long time.
The product is exactly what I wanted, I use it to play long hours on my PC, and the sound is of very good quality.
it's not too big, not too heavy, really perfect.
The steel series software is top notch, you can configure everything, nothing to say.
To start with, I only knew the Steel Series brand by name but had never had the opportunity to buy one of their products.
The main reason I picked it up was that I regularly play games on the PS5 while my partner is watching TV nearby, and I obviously don't want to disturb her, but I also want to be able to enjoy my sessions without boredom. I achieved my goal: a connection adapted to the PS5 and nothing special to adjust apart from the 360 audio and off you go. One small downside is that I don't think the headset is 100% closed, and when there's no sound in my game, I can hear what's coming from outside. But otherwise everything else is more than good. No lag, no sound skipping, and spatalisation to match.
What's more, the headphones are light and don't heat up my ears like some of their predecessors. All in all, another good point. The retractable microphone is a very good idea compared with some that are always in front of your nose even when you don't want them to be, or those that can be removed but you end up losing them.
The sound quality perceived by others seems to be good, as they all understand what I'm saying.
Another good note concerns the impressive autonomy of the beast. I used it without recharging after opening it and played for a good twenty hours before having to recharge it. And I haven't plugged it back in yet. So that's a very, very good point.
Finally, I'd like to mention the bag that comes with it, which looks really cheap compared to some competitors who offer a real little woven bag with straps to close it.
Otherwise, I'm still having a bit of trouble finding the buttons when I've got the helmet on my head. Some competitors are doing better on this point (but that could be down to me).
Overall, the Artis Nova 7 is a good headset:
+ Good sound quality
+ Light on the head + Good wireless range
+ Good quality microphone + Impressive battery and recharging speed
+ Retractable microphone, although I'm concerned that the connectors will be damaged prematurely by this system.
- The earpieces are poorly positioned, leaving a small gap at the bottom where they don't rest against the ear/contour of the ear, despite numerous adjustments.
- The price, which I find very expensive for headphones, but the wireless functionality is enough to justify such a price difference with similar wired headphones
These headphones don't suit me because I like ear cups that are more encompassing and provide better isolation.
In my experience, I don't have much confidence in the retractable microphone connectors.
If I were to buy this headset, I'd wait for a good promotion.
These headphones are very good overall and don't disappoint, but at this price you'd expect them to be excellent in every area. The sound is excellent, with good sound and bass. Comfort-wise, it's very good too, fairly light and doesn't cause any particular pain after long periods of use. The application that goes with it (SteelSeries GG) offers some pretty good options, such as noise reduction and an equaliser that lets you customise the sound for different games or types of music. On the other hand, the microphone... for this price, as mentioned above, you'd expect it to be up to scratch in every respect, but the quality of the microphone leaves a lot to be desired... it's the only slight downside, but you get used to it!
