General information
Product name
Ducky Channel One 3 Yellow Ducky (Cherry MX Clear)
Obviously the yellow colour meant that the price was low during the sales, but apart from the colour this keyboard is well worth its original price.
North facing LED (for some keycaps)
Hotswap (the cherry mx clear wouldn't have been my choice, but I can change later and it's not really something to throw away, even if cherry is the best).
Heavy chassis and soundproof components.
High quality PBT double shot keycap.

An excellent keyboard with a top-of-the-range feel
I bought this keyboard because it was on special offer in the bargain corner, and at a low price it was a good opportunity to try out the mechanical keyboard experience.
I'll start by mentioning a few of the keyboard's "faults":
1) the white lettering on yellow doesn't really contrast, and if you need to look at the keyboard to write, it'll quickly become a problem... or you'll learn to type without looking!
2) The backlight. I used to have a backlit Logitech keyboard, which was great for typing in the dark. Here it's purely decorative because the letters are opaque, so you can only see the outline of the keys and very little of the lettering.
3) Settings. It's great to be able to adjust everything without any separate software, but given the phenomenal number of possible settings, you'll have to watch video tutorials to get the hang of it! For example, out of the box the 'num lock' button is bright enough to blind the fool who dares to look it in the face. It's adjustable (Fn + up or down), but you had to do a bit of digging to find it!
Now for the positives:
1) The keyboard is solid, stable and exudes quality.
2) I love the visual impact of the yellow.
3) The feel of the keys is very pleasant.
4) I like the little mechanical noise when you type, even if the space bar clicks a bit loudly.
5) The accessories supplied are an invitation to the world of mechanical keyboard tinkerers, and you'll see that this world is very vast.... changing switches, springs, key caps, it goes a long way!
6) Programming possibilities. I don't really use them, but it's good to know that you won't be limited by them.
In short, I really like this keyboard, despite its minor flaws.
