Good cable for charging, but not for data

Charging works fine, but the lightning connection with an Apple device doesn't... The iphone is not recognised on the Mac. I should have known better as everything goes through a simple microusb, but I gave it the benefit of the doubt. It seems I was wrong...
The usb-c part works fine (android/windows) so I guess microusb does too. I think it's the compatibility with Apple devices that's lacking. If it were written more clearly, it would be better...

As for durability, no idea, I've just received it. There's no reinforcement on the side with the different tips, so I'm afraid that part won't last as long as the other, you twist the cable there. I'll have to see!
