Update your BIOS for RAM upgrades, otherwise it's a real pain!
I simply wanted to upgrade from 2x8GB and 2x16GB to 2x16GB and 2x16GB (Corsair Vengeance 3200Mhz), and that was the beginning of the nightmare!
I've been tinkering with PCs for over 20 years, but I'm not used to the latest technologies because I'm less interested.
Only 48 gigabytes recognised by Windows, and the wrong RAM frequency.
I had to update the BIOS to Version 2801 dated 28/09/2023 to solve the problem (easy update by following the tutorial on the ASUS website). I now have my 64GB (63.8GB usable).
The RAM must be set to XMP1 in the BIOS.
But then a boot error (impossible to boot the system) because the CPU fan is not recognised, I'm in watercooling mode. The update erased the settings that the LDLC technician had made when he installed the PC. You have to deactivate the CPU FAN management and the PC boots on Win 11.
Not an easy motherboard!
