Adapter bought to replace an Airport Express terminal that had given up the ghost.
Advantages: starts up very quickly (~20sec). Connects to the home wifi network and allows any wifi device (Apple or iTunes) connected to stream its music. Audio quality comparable to the AE terminal on the optical output. Power supply included.
Disadvantages : A little expensive despite a special offer.
Perfect LDLC delivery ?
Small, quiet and practical for AirPlay 2 on an old HiFi amplifier!
On the downside, there's a slight latency when you start the music (+/- 1 sec).
