My SSD died after a year and a half, yet it is very little used. It is mounted in my second laptop which I use 4 hours a week and only for office work.
I replaced a DD with an SSD.
It is miraculous. The PC turns on 10 times faster and no more slowness.
It's back in business for many years.
Please note one thing. With a HDD/SSD copy box, the receiving drive must be at least as big as the sending drive.
We usually talk about a 1TB drive, but some drives are 960GB and others 1024GB.
One is bigger than the other. Be carefull.
Otherwise, LDLC's service is always top notch.
I've been hoping for years that the price and storage capacity of SSDs would come down and I'd buy one. And now I've found an SSD of almost a TB (894 GB available) for a hundred euros! Frankly, it changes life. I've been using it for a while now, and it's been a great help in getting my PC up and running (including loading all the software, etc. at startup). It doesn't take 10 minutes anymore, but only 1 minute (I admit I didn't time it). Frankly, it's a joy. I'm not sure how the SSD will perform in the long run.
Acquired to replace a hard drive on a medium old configuration that couldn't handle Windows 10 anymore, this SSD gave a new lease of life to this machine.
Delivered in a box with screws and screwdriver, perfect for the use I had planned.
The product arrived in its packaging intact, with screwdriver and screws (note that the screwdriver does not correspond exactly to the screw pitch supplied with it! ). The only problem is that once installed and activated, the memory is not 960G, but 894G. The only problem is that once installed and activated, the memory is not 960G, but 894G. That's quite a difference to consider.
