One of the best cards on the market, unfortunately it's way too expensive at the moment, I advise to wait for a price drop.
very pleasantly surprised by the speed of delivery ordered at 2:00 am and delivered the next day at 9:30 am
ideal equipment to play in 4k ultra
FS2020 or x-plane 11
only happiness
Let's be clear, I'm switching from the people's card, the 1060 to something better so I can finally enjoy my 1440p 144Hz screen.
For this argument, it's OK. I launch a game, set the settings to ultra, freesync ON, and it runs 'smoothly' in the hundreds of FPS. No matter what the game and its era. Perfect.
The pluses :
- Excellent quality cooler. The card is silent, does not heat up. Bravo MSI for the design.
- Easy to install. Admittedly the card is big, but the small manual helps us to install the whole thing.
- Small card holder included. Always useful.
- What more could you ask for from an AIB?
Minus :
- The price. Nope. It's still not that.
- Note though, you don't realize without holding one: it's big. I had to remove the HDD cage from my Fractal Design Define R5 ( :o ) to fit the few remaining millimeters...
- AMD and the drivers a bit janky. That said, I honestly didn't expect such an improvement (circa 2010), but we're still not at the level of the competition. I'm not sure if it's a good card, but it's clear that it has potential, so it remains to be seen if AMD will be able to exploit it to the fullest via drivers in the future (FidelityFX etc...).
Conclusion after three weeks of heavy use:
It's expensive, but it's a card that knows how to stay cool and will certainly delight overclocking enthusiasts once the drivers are a bit more mature. No regrets.
I've been installing since mid January and I've reserved 1 month before allowing myself to comment.
I'm going from a super gaming x rtx 2060 to this little gem, the difference is more than noticeable. Not only in basic games but also in Vr despite the delay of Amd compare to Nvidia on the subject.
Amd's fidelety fx does as well as the dlss on games optimised for it, although there aren't many.
A slight coil whine in the first week which has totally disappeared today.
One negative point, the price, otherwise perfect
I don't regret my purchase.
I'm not sure I'll be able to get it for the first time.
Instant return, card crashes randomly after a while.
Fast return with ldlc but long payback.
Not being a big fan of RT and DLSS I chose the 6800 xt
Much better than the 3080 for 1080p/1440p, coupled with a Ryzen 5000 you can scratch out a few more fps with SAM as well as the rage mode for OC.
AMD have since improved their drivers considerably unlike the catastrophic days when the 5700 XT was launched.
The pluses :
Very quiet
Equipped with a margin of oc.
Correct power consumption.
16GB much more future proof than its competitor
Mount bracket included
No Coil whine (For the moment)
The minus:
LDLC has a lot of fun selling to scalpers.
Still no DLSS made in AMD in sight
RT perfectible, (1st Gen nevertheless)
