The card died after only two years of normal use... we'll be going to NVIDIA from now on! ;-)
Bought £1,24995 in mid September 2021, now it's mid October and the price has gone up again to £1,39995, and it's out of stock.
This card is just phenomenal. What a comeback from AMD with this RDNA2, a real success.
It's also quite quiet, and at rest the fans turn off well.
The cooling is very efficient.
The switch button (overclock/normal) is not very useful. But it does exist.
The FidelityFX function works perfectly.
After a few tests in mining, we go up to 3.990 kH/s.
In short, a "must have"! If available of course.
I am currently in possession of a second card identical to the first one and I find that the new one looks much better than the first one
I'm not sure what to do with it, but I'm sure it's a good idea to have a look at it.
After 8 months of waiting, I've fallen for it.
And phew... to replace a 1060, there is nothing better.
I've been waiting for this for a while now, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get it.
I'm not sure if it's a good idea to buy a new one, but I'm sure it's a good idea to buy a new one.
Bought to replace my aging GTX 1060 3GB. And the difference is radical. This graphics card allows me to play Virtual Reality games without any compromise with my Oculus Rift S, which my old one couldn't really do. For normal games, I have a 1080p 60Hz screen at the moment so this graphics card is a bit of an overkill, but I plan to push it when I get a 2K 144Hz screen. According to benchmarks, it performs similarly to an Nvidia RTX 3080, so it's not at all bad against the competition.
On the hardware encoding side (AVC and HEVC), I didn't notice any significant differences compared to NVIDIA's NVENC (except that HEVC gives better quality, but that's to be expected). Viable for recording or streaming games.
No DLSS on AMD, but FidelityFX support is better than on Nvidia cards.
The design of this specific card is quite good: the cooling does its job very well (but tends to be noisy if pushed too hard) and the whole thing is solid. On the other hand, you need a 750W minimum power supply and a well ventilated case. It consumes about 300W when pushed hard and can easily reach 90°C. It is also quite large and I had to remove a 2.5" hard drive rack to fit it into my case, so be careful with that before you buy it. There is a bit of RGB on the side. Nothing big, but it's a nice touch.
I highly recommend this card for Virtual Reality or other demanding games. The card oozes quality and will keep you gaming without any worries for years to come.
Great graphics card, does the job extremely well in 2k, thanks LDLC team for your professionalism, I recommend
I didn't give a 10/10 because I was expecting more power from AMD. The ventilation system of the AZUS TUF GAMING is very efficient and not too noisy so good.
