The queen of silence!
I've found the perfect card for my NR200P!
As my PC is designed to be as quiet as possible, I'm delighted to be (re)discovering the 0dB mode, which switches off the fans when they're not in use. My previous water-cooled card, a GTX 1080 Ti from Inno3D, constantly emitted a slight but detectable irregular noise linked to the card's built-in water pump. The sound of the water was pleasant, but not the sizzling of the motor.
Even under full load, with my usage (3D design), the fans rarely rise above 30%, and have a very pleasant noise profile (quite muffled).
No coil whine detected after a few days' use, but I'll still have to test it with older games and menus that don't have FPS limits, before I can really say that it doesn't suffer.
One small note: the power connector adopts the 'new' 12V-2X6 standard, which is more secure than the first version of the 12VHPWR. So I'm safe in the knowledge that some RTX 40s have had problems with connectors/false contacts in the past.
Note that the connector is in the opposite direction to the FE cards. So the Corsair 180° adaptor I was planning to buy isn't compatible with this card. I therefore have to use it with the side panel of the case open, as the width space was a bit tight in my Cooler Master NR200P (unless I bend the power connector beyond the recommendations, which I won't do).
I'm still giving it 5 stars, though, as the build quality and quiet operation far exceeded my expectations.
Thank you Asus for this gem!
