Not only did it meet my requirements, it also totally lived up to the description.
Printing, even on both sides, is good. It worked (scanner and printer) straight away, without installing anything, but that's Linux.
The quality remains to be seen with special papers, but they are available in the menu, so I imagine it will adapt.
