Quality 3D prints

  • TheMeanWell power supply, which is produced by the listed company with mature technology, meets all the needs for fast heating and long lasting 3D printing. The printer is protected by its power supply against voltage spikes and power outages. If the power supply is lost, prints can be resumed from the last layer, saving time and reducing waste.
  • Redesigned with a much stronger 40 x 40 aluminium extrusion for the Y-axis base. This ensures the stability of the printing process, leading to better print quality.
  • Superior printing surface: A new state-of-the-art "C-MAG" magnetic sticker is designed for Ender 3 Pro, which is fully removable, flexible and can better adhere to the platform. Printer works perfectly, but assembly instructions not very clear.

The printer is easy to use once properly assembled and works perfectly, but the assembly instructions are not always very clear. The filament placement is not well explained either (or rather the placement of the sheath that contains the filament that must be placed against the extruder outlet, which is not specified).
Adjusting the height of the platen with the 4 knobs proved difficult, and to do so I had to lower the end stop of the nozzle slightly by 3 mm compared to the indications on the assembly drawing, otherwise the adjustment was impossible.

    Good enough for entry level

After 4 tries, finally my first 100% successful impression, not too early.
Be careful, contrary to what LDLC says:
    - this model ?does not allow? TPU printing (soft plastic) without having to customize the wire intake system!
    - Slicing software not directly compatible with Linux. Use Cura.

    Some real problems:
    - the magnetic mat is not great. a small ABS print is difficult to peel off and the surface is hard to clean. By the second printing it had already become smoother.
    - the adjustment of the plate is very very painful, you have to do it again at each print because the wheels move (vibrations). You can use locknuts to limit this phenomenon.
    - It is really necessary to fine-tune the printing with the "slicing" software supplied (the default mode is not enough), especially for the temperatures of the nozzle and the plate.
    - use the specifications of the thread and NOT the default ones: for example for ABS plate at 90° and not 60°C.
    - The instructions are clearly inadequate. Fortunately, there are forums.
I put 7/10 because it is an entry level product, otherwise I might have gone down to 5 or 6.

    Imprecise

    Great printer for the price.
And with the popularity it has on the net, it's easy to find lots of tutorials and improvements on it.

    Firmware problem

The printer is not working at my place, firmware problem, the printer at the time of printing shifts itself from the first line.
I hope to be able to get help.
