The best value for money to date
Lifetime:
It's simple, I bought it on 15/05/2021. It took almost 1800 hours of play on Rocket League before the controller suffered a technical problem on 15/03/2024. Admittedly, it's expensive, but all my friends who have invested in Xbox Elites controllers have very quickly experienced problems, even though the price is also high. What's more, the joysticks are interchangeable, so if you have a problem with your left joystick, you can replace it with the right one, which extends the life of your joysticks. The joysticks have hardly moved an inch in 1800 hours. The area in the centre of the joystick has hardly moved at all and is as precise as ever. Unlike my old Xbox 360 controller, where the joystick let itself move.
Ergonomics:
You don't need too small hands for this controller either, I'd say it's slightly bigger than an xbox controller, and clearly much bigger than a ps4/5 controller. The joysticks are nice, but I find the finish of the PlayStation joysticks better, as are the triggers and R1/L1 buttons. Here we're dealing with button clicks (like mouse clicks), whereas with the PlayStation joysticks there's a slight restraint (which goes away with time, however, as you spam the keys), with the "click" keys, this click remains until the end of the controller's life.
Thrustmaster software:
Thrustmaster has ultra-configurable software, however it doesn't seem to me that you can configure one keyboard key to one key, or several keys to one key. You can therefore configure all the buttons on the controller with any other button.
Conclusion:
In my opinion, these controllers are less comfortable than the Playstation controllers. But the 1800h lifespan more than makes up for it. It's not uncomfortable either.
I hope I've helped you, have a good day and enjoy your game :)
