Wireless RF controller not Bluetooth
Yes, yes, RF, what's the difference?
Simply, the controller isn't Bluetooth standard, so if you're trying to connect via the PC/phone's Bluetooth, it's dead.
On a Windows PC, there's no problem with the dongle, Linux (CaD steam deck) doesn't know about the dongle (no driver) except in wired mode and for Android, hehe *ironic laugh*, it provides you with a little cable to connect the controller to the phone... on a wireless controller (yes I saw the video, but I thought it was for dummies, but apparently I'm the dummy in the story). Genius!
So 3 stars, the controller is nice but the wireless connectivity via, and only via, the dongle, I think it's a bad joke.
I'm not blaming LDLC, I have no interest in shouting, I just did it wrong, but research...
