Very good "But" screen ...
I have just changed my review after 3 years with this product.
- I won't change my mind about the quality of the screen, which I have greatly appreciated.
- On the other hand, and after 3 years of good and loyal service, one of my 2 screens suddenly failed without me having touched anything at the time when the image became such as you would see it on the photograph. I had taken out an extended warranty just in case, but the after-sales service told me there was nothing they could do for me as the breakdown was due to a 'shock'. I was in full live mode at the time and I really regret not filming myself to show that the screen suddenly went like that when I had the gamepad in my hands and I hadn't touched anything. What's more, I'm a bit of a neat freak, so hearing you tell me that I had something to do with it. The after-sales service really deserves to be investigated further.
- In conclusion, I will never again take out an extended warranty, anywhere, because if it's to tell us that it's a fault that's not included in the warranty, I find that shameful. I was 1 hair's breadth away from writing to 60 millions de consommateurs and even to FEVAD, because when you know you have nothing to be ashamed of, it's your duty to assert your right, but I was so angry at this injustice (because LDLC didn't offer me any compensation), that I decided to let it go and do nothing, because my frustration is so immense.
I'm not going to order anything from LDLC from now on, and if I were you I'd give up investing in warranties that are useless, even if you're not to blame for an unfortunate breakdown.
The final word?
HONEST. Truly HONEST....
I'd like to see your reaction if it was your screen that had suddenly failed, much to your surprise, without you having done anything, knowing that on top of that you take good care of your equipment and that you've been refused a service.
