The QNAP TS-977XU-RP-3600-8G 2U rackmount NAS has 9 bays and is powered by an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 processor (6 cores / 12 threads). The TS-9777XU-RP features a hybrid structure with drive bays for four 3.5-inch HDDs and five 2.5-inch SSDs, which enables SSD caching and Qtier auto-prioritization technology to provide a significant IOPS boost to meet the performance needs of demanding applications.
The TS-9777XU-RP includes two 10GbE SFP+ ports and two Gigabit ports for high-speed connectivity, providing businesses and organisations with an ideal solution to quickly deploy a high-bandwidth, high-reliability storage environment. The TS-9777XU-RP also features a redundant power supply to ensure that the system remains operational for as long as possible.
High performance hardware
Powered by a 6-core, 12-thread AMD Ryzen 5 3600 (3.6 GHz / Turbo Core 4.2 GHz) with AES-NI encryption acceleration and up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM, the TS-9777XU-RP delivers excellent performance for multi-tasking demands and is capable of running multiple virtual machines simultaneously. For resource-intensive business applications such as VDI, private cloud and server virtualization, the TS-977XU-RP offers high performance and reliable performance for enterprise computing environments.Hybrid Storage Fabric
The TS-977XU-RP features a hybrid HDD + SSD structure (including five 2.5" drive bays and four 3.5" drive bays), allowing you to leverage both HDDs and SSDs to deliver high storage capacity and performance. Qtier technology equips the TS-977XU-RP with automatic tiering that continuously optimizes storage utilization across high-performance SSDs and high-capacity HDDs. The new Qtier 2.0 includes I/O recognition that allows SSD storage to be prioritised with a reserved space as a cache to handle real-time burst I/O, greatly maximising the benefits of the SSD.
PCI-Express expansion card slot
The TS-977XU-RP features a PCIe Gen3 slot that allows the installation of various expansion cards to tailor the NAS usage according to the business needs. Whether it's adding expansion units with a SAS card, increasing bandwidth with a 40GbE card, or adding SSDs for increased cache and performance.
Built for virtualisation
The TS-9777XU-RP supports block-based iSCSI LUNs, which provide a more reliable and isolated environment than file-based LUNs. Supporting VMware, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Windows Server 2016, the TS-9777XU-RP provides an affordable, reliable, and high-performance storage solution for virtualization environments. In addition, it supports VMware, VAAI, and Microsoft ODX to increase performance by offloading the server for ESXi and Hyper-V server respectively, and supports QNAP vSphere plug-in and QNAP SMI-S provider with improved operational efficiency and virtualization application management.
QVR Pro Monitoring Solution
QNAP's QVR Pro monitoring solution allows you to arrange a dedicated and independent storage space to monitor data on the TS-977XU-RP and take advantage of the scalability and management capabilities of QTS. QVR Pro greatly simplifies camera management, storage allocation, and live camera viewing and playback. You can also use the QVR Pro Client mobile app to monitor your cameras anywhere, or use a USB webcam as an ONVIF network camera with the QUSBCam2 app.
