Comfortable and very good quality.
Very good headset, replacing my GameOne which was 7 years old.
Good improvement on the headband.
The foam is comfortable, you just have to like open face helmets.
I hope it lasts as long :)

Very good headset, replacing my GameOne which was 7 years old.
Good improvement on the headband.
The foam is comfortable, you just have to like open face helmets.
I hope it lasts as long :)
The sound quality is very, very good.
Small negative points :
- the headphones are very tight. Even if you can sometimes stop feeling it, it is not forgotten.
- You can hear the cable in the headphones when it rubs against your clothes. A clip (or something else) to keep it at the level of the chest and you will not have any more noise.
I already had the Sennheiser PC 360, which is actually the same model as this GSP 500, but two generations older. I have been using it for 8 years. The foams are now packed, I wanted to plug it into the family PC and get this new model for my main PC. I was using the PC 360 without touching the equalizer in the audio drivers, I was happy with the factory sound.
Between the release of the PC 360 and this EPOS GSP 500, there was also the Game one, which by the way is still on sale. It was a makeover of the PC 360, with some adjustments to the sound.
This new GSP 500 is good, the build quality seems solid, the microphone is very good, but I find it inferior to the PC 360 of old:
- The comfort is top of the range, but in my opinion inferior to the previous model. The foam is less soft, the headset is heavier and tighter, and most of all you can hear the wire a lot when you touch it.
- There is a huge problem with the response curve. When I tried it on, it sounded very different from the PC 360, metallic and shrill. I even thought my model was defective. I actually had to reduce the 4kHz by -6dB in the audio drivers EQ, with almost no other frequencies, in order to get a good sound. -6dB, that never happened to me with headphones or speakers in the past. It's really a lot, and it's strange. The factory sound is not at all suitable for gaming (it's more or less suitable for classical music, but still), it's extremely surprising.
- The aggressive gaming look is completely ridiculous.
Unless I'm mistaken, LDLC unfortunately doesn't take back headsets for hygiene reasons. Otherwise I would have simply exchanged this GSP 500 for the old G4me one, still on sale.
I have to correct my previous comment: the squeak I observed was from my glasses rubbing against the pads, creating a squeak (a problem I didn't have when I was using foam pads).
The helmet is very very comfortable. I can wear it for a day without worry. Perfect for audio conferences.
The microphone is of excellent quality, my conversations are 10 times better than with my previous headset and the sound is very stable.
The microphone is disconnectable when you put it back on which is very practical.
Finally the sound is perfect. The sound is really good, and very well spatialized. Perfect for FPS
It is a shame that the ear cushions supplied as standard (fortunately they are replaceable, but this generates an extra cost) are poorly designed: a memory material encased in a fabric that rubs against it, generating an extremely annoying squeaking noise at the slightest facial expression or rotation of the head.
