Optimized design and easy transport
In terms of design, theASUS ROG Strix Go 2.4 is a closed-back circum-aural headset. It is equipped with 40mmneodymium magnets and optimised acoustic chambers for better sound reproduction. TheASUS ROG Strix Go 2.4 is also very comfortable and pleasant to wear.
You can use it wherever you want and during long gaming sessions. It's foldable, easy to carry, and its wired and wireless modes offer great versatility.
Control buttons and dual microphone
In addition to its removable main microphone, the ASUS ROG Strix Go 2.4 headset features a second "hidden" microphone in the right earpiece. This allows you to travel light by taking only your headset with you.
It is also convenient for taking calls or using the headset more discreetly. The control buttons on the back of the headset allow you to adjust the volume, mute the microphone, pause a song, skip to the next track or back to the previous one, switch between wired and wireless modes.
so I've had these headphones for a couple of days now, they're very comfortable, they're pretty nice, but they sound like shit. The Logitech G430 for 80 quid is much better (despite being wired). I wanted to change shops, but why change a winning team?

good but not sustainable
After 2 years, I'm amending my review and adding a big black mark on durability. The "leather" on the headphones tears and ASUS doesn't sell any spare parts. It's impossible to repair the headphones. For a headset of this price, this is not normal. Otherwise, the rest of the comment (below) remains true
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's one of the few headphones that can be connected to the mobile switch and not to the dock. The connector is small, which reduces the risk of breakage.
Very little latency, great autonomy and comfortable. Very good microphone
It gets a bit hot around the ears after a while, but it insulates well from outside noise, so you can keep the sound down.
The storage box is very good and allows the headphones to be transported in good conditions
2 details:
- the microphone is flexible, so it remains to be seen what happens if it gets bent
- Strangely, the USB adaptor is the only one that doesn't have a defined place in the case.

Disappointment
I've had this headset for over 2 years now, bought for teleworking without being attached to the PC and occasionally for mobile gaming on Switch or PC.
The sound suits me, the microphone works very well, I don't mind the logistics of folding/unfolding/plugging/unplugging the various components, and the case is very well designed and protective...
But the durability isn't up to scratch for a £200 item: the pads and buttons are OK, but the plastic of the hoops have already cracked or come loose regularly, even though the headphones have never been abused (they're either in their case or on my head, and that's about as fancy as it gets).
A shame, then. I probably won't be coming back to Asus for products of this type.

Do not buy this helmet!
I bought one less than two months ago and I would strongly advise against this headset.
The microphone is very normal looking, it plugs into the jack, but the base of the microphone is very poorly fixed, which means that the microphone falls down all the time, so you have to hold it in your hand when you're talking, or you won't be heard at all. After a month and a half, the microphone stopped working.
Second negative point, the headset keeps disconnecting if there is no sound for more than a minute, it's unbearable knowing that you have to reconnect it manually. The headset also disconnects randomly for about 10 seconds.
In short, don't spend 200€ on this thing.
