    Nice motherboard for a NAS

Used to upgrade an 8-bay NAS with 2x32gb RDIMM and 6x3tb.
    Strengths:
Plenty of cpu power for this purpose
    Low power consumption
4dimms to upgrade to 128gb if needed
    Weaknesses:
Quite vague when reading the specs on pcie line configuration in relation to sata, I can't put my 10gb network card in combination with 8 active sata ports.
    In conclusion:
If you need the pcie lines with at least 8 sata ports, you have to take the c3758 version. Not a big handicap in my case (2 users for the NAS) but it is worth mentioning. I will know for the next time.

Very good card for a NAS

Very clean, well organised board. Lots of SATA / SAS ports to mount a NAS or storage server. The only downside is that the two proprietary SATA port extensions do not have separate data/power supplies, which may affect some integrations.
