But why?
The headset's main gadget is a coloured logo that runs through the entire rainbow without interruption. In order to deactivate it, you have to install (and leave running permanently) a 500 MB piece of software, whose only function seems to be to program lighting patterns for the LEDs. It really gives the impression that they're taking gamers for fools.
The minuses
- Every time I put on or take off the headset, my hand lands right on the button to mute the microphone.
- The volume knob is digital and controls the windows volume. If an application sends a violent noise into your ears, count on a 2 second delay before you can lower the volume.
The plus
- Excellent sound. I can't say more because I'm not an expert in the field, but this is one of the best headsets I've ever used.
- My big ears fit completely inside the headphones.
