Excellent machine
An excellent machine without question, and one that is unlikely to disappoint. Very slim and well designed PC inside, optimised for cooling while remaining very thin. The memory is soldered and not upgradeable on this version to my disappointment, so limited to 16gb. Where many manufacturers would have cancelled the warranty, MSI confirms that its warranty is preserved in case of change of thermal paste or SSD if it is well done. A big plus point at this price!
The PC, power and 4K to summarize. A CPU that is always available and heats up quite a bit, the battery is 1h - 1h30 in max performance if you are a big consumer of RAM and CPU (batch processing, Premiere rendering, 30 open tabs, running heavy scripts). Clean 4K screen that changes life on PS, everything is well sized on windows and software. Ultra thin, keyboard, touchpad nice. Connectivity is just right, perfect, discreet micro card reader a real plus. The sound quality is average for a high-end computer, which is due to the fact that the PC is raised or lowered depending on the screen angle. The price to pay to evacuate the heat of this big battery and CPU.
It's still a little gem that doesn't hold you back in your work, ultra light for aluminium in this format, and charges very quickly. If your mobile is QC 3 compatible or more, you can charge a large smartphone in 20 minutes with the same charger as your laptop. Thunderbolt is great for downloading 4k video to the laptop. The charger is the same size as a standard desktop charger. I was expecting it to be smaller, but you can forgive its size given its charging speed.
I'm not sure if it's a good one, but it's a good one, and I'm not sure if it's a good one, but it's a good one. The only one to deliver so much power in 4K 14" to date with the XPS still in break.
