Xpert-K900: Victory is yours!

The Spirit Of Gamer Xpert K900 opto-mechanical keyboard will take you to victory. It is equipped with SOG Dark Blue opto-mechanical switches which ensure a response time up to 30% faster than a standard mechanical keyboard. Ideal for gaming, it features anti-ghosting technology, customizable 16.8 million colour RGB backlighting and a removable palm rest.

For the win

The Spirit of Gamer Xpert-K700 keyboard offers comfort for long games with a full Anti-Ghosting feature. This will allow the keyboard to remember your favourite key combinations and play them back perfectly.

Each key has a laser beam. When the key is pressed, the laser is switched off. This tells the optical light sensor that the key is active. This technology is about 30% faster than a standard mechanical keyboard.

16.8 million colour backlighting

Its online downloadable software offers 3 Gamer Profiles and will allow you to set up all the keys of your keyboard by assigning: a key combination, a multimedia function or a macro. The software also allows you to benefit from a customisable LED backlighting of the keys: 16 million colours! More than fair for the price

I bought this keyboard to replace my Cooler Master Devastator 3 mecha keyboard, which had outlived its usefulness (good value for money, it lasted 3 years).
    The Xpert-K 900 :
    Strengths:
    - Opto-mechanical, the feel and responsiveness are really good for the price
    - Aluminium front panel
    - No rim around the keys, which makes cleaning very easy
    - Practical sound wheel
    - RBG settings via modes programmed into the keyboard are very easy to learn (everything is in the manual)
    - Solid braided cable
    - Key extractor supplied

    Weak points :
    - Quite noisy, but you get used to it
    - The wrist rest is not comfortable enough and the tilt means that the wrist is slightly broken. Paradoxically, it's comfortable for typing, but for prolonged gaming sessions it's a few mm too thin in my opinion.
    - The 'Enter' key didn't work properly when I first used it. I had to remove it and replace it. Now everything works properly

    Very good keyboard

The keyboard is really practical and functional. I bought it as a gift and the person who received it was completely satisfied.

    Clac clic clac

I really like this keyboard, especially the sound of the keys. If you prefer a silent keyboard, however, you'd be better off not using it. The little 'Game mode' function, which deactivates the Windows key to prevent mistyping when you're switching back and forth between the Alt and Ctrl keys, is useful for MMO players.

    Super keyboard

I bought this keyboard once and used it for over 6 months until I spilt my freshly-filled 80cL flask directly on it. Suffice to say, he didn't appreciate it.
But I found it so good that I bought the same one again!

    Strong points:
    - The touch is excellent, very good feedback, the keys are not too big as often on mechanicals, and not too noisy either.
    - The sound wheel is great, I use it all the time. It's notched like a mouse wheel, which means you can be quite precise, and it's much easier to use with one finger than having to go and find the media keys at the back of the keyboard behind the function keys, as we're used to seeing. Clicking to mute is also very practical.
    - The RGB is great, with lots of settings available directly on the keyboard, and for more customisation you can install the software, do your own thing, then close it, so there's no need to leave it running in the background.
    - The finish is impeccable, you really get the feeling of having solid, quality materials at your fingertips.

    Weak points:
    - The only downside for me is the magnetic wrist rest. The position is very good and the magnet works well, but it has a flaw that comes from one of its qualities: its non-slip grip. It works too well, and even with a good magnet, as soon as you want to move the keyboard a bit, the wrist rest stays behind. As someone who moves my keyboard around a lot on my desk depending on how I use it, it's a bit of a pain to have to hold the keyboard and wrist rest together to slide them around.

Conclusion: This keyboard is great, and seems to last over time (as long as you don't water it too regularly). If you're looking for a quality, affordable mechanical keyboard, this is the one for you.

    Excellent

Formerly using the SPIRIT OF GAMER XPERT-K9 keyboard, I am very happy with the K900. It's really a step up or two from my previous one.
Good key layout and lots of useful multimedia keys.
    Good materials.
    Easy to clean.
RBG much better than the K9 but I would have thought I could really customise it to my liking.
Otherwise, slightly noisy but it's an opto-mechanical so it's still reasonable.
