The screen is perfect except that if I turn off the power at home (for example to go on holiday), I have great difficulty in getting it to come back on, as if the screen was not connected to any power source... But it is...
I will probably have to contact the after sales service again (2 screens requested 2 defective screens).
I was looking for a good sized 21/9 screen with 3400 x 1440p definition without the curved side.
A 34" 21:9 is equivalent to a 27" 16:9. The screen is very well finished and the edges are ultra-thin. It easily replaces two 27" screens.
It is equipped with a handy USB HUB: 1 x 3.0 port and 1 x fast charging port, ideal for smartphones and tablets.
Excellent for gaming, it runs well at 3400x1440 at 75Hz. The screen is overclockable up to 80Hz, which is a plus. Rare are the AAA games exceeding 100fps or 144fps and this in a constant way.
80fps is more than enough for a screen of this resolution without any graphic concessions.
For information, a title like Monster Hunter runs well @80fps (Full Ultra) but knows drops 60-70fps during some passages, proof that a 100Hz would have been useless in my case (RTX 2080)
The colours are clean and more natural than on a VA. The only reproach I could make is really a very very slight defect of black uniformity when we are not in front of the edges for example, but it is inherent to the IPS technology.
For it to really bother you have to be in total darkness with a very dark scene display.
In the end, a very good screen with an unbeatable price/performance ratio.
