very nice
Medium size, power supply cover, sturdy, with lots of tidy, removable ancillary slots
The be quiet! Pure Base 500 Window is a mid-tower case with a quiet design that allows you to assemble almost any configuration based on a mini-ITX, micro-ATX or ATX motherboard. The optimised interior space allows for up to 5 SSDs, a 190mm high fan and a 369mm graphics card. The tempered glass side panel offers a clear view of the components inside your PC case.
Be Quiet! has taken care of the quiet operation by installing two Pure Wings 2 140 mm fans and by fitting the Pure Base 500 with insulating mats on the front, sides and solid side panel. It also offers plenty of cable storage options to hide unwanted cables.
The Pure Base 500 offers generous dimensions for the installation of high-end graphics cards and large cooling systems up to 190mm high. Fans or heat sinks up to 360 mm can be easily installed in the front. The upper area offers space for fans or radiators up to 240 mm.
Two pre-installed Pure Wings 2 fans with optimised blades ensure perfect airflow and constant cooling. Despite the compact design of the case, the front and rear fans are 140mm models, ensuring very quiet operation, and three additional 140mm fans can be installed as an option.
The power supply cover perfectly covers the cables, the power supply unit and contains a double hard disk rack. The double HDD cage with decoupled brackets reduces vibrations and helps to maximise silence. It can also be repositioned to fit radiators up to 360mm in front. Using the PSU bracket, the power supply can be easily installed from the rear.
The front, side and top panels are fitted with insulating mats, providing high stability and optimised noise reduction capabilities. Dust filters at the front and bottom are easy to remove for cleaning.

Medium size, power supply cover, sturdy, with lots of tidy, removable ancillary slots
I had trouble tightening the fan when I first installed it, the processor rose to 100°C in games and 50 at rest. I screwed the fan onto the CM better, and it heats up to 65°c max for an I5-12600K in games, using the full speed fans. in Windows, the standard temperature is around 30°c.
Is there a risk of breaking a processor if you screw the fan too tightly onto a motherboard? or is that what it's designed for? I've always been told not to tighten it all the way. I'm stubborn
A case with a good management cable, good airflow and it makes assembling the computer pretty simple.
The only flaw for my use is the lack of front USB-C (minor issue).
It's compact so when mounting an ATX card there's not a lot of finger room but it's not an obstacle either. There are plenty of holes for cables and you can make a very clean assembly. The 2 original fans are very quiet (3 pins), you have to think about the modularity offered by the top of the case, you can close it, put a watercooling, I preferred to put a 4 pins fan of the same brand. In short, you can do as you wish thanks to the removable partitions (on top).
It hosts an i7 12700k and a monstrous SuprimX 3080. Well, it doesn't heat up too much and it doesn't make much noise. The fan added on the top partition must contribute to this.
The case is not designed to hold many physical hard drives, but today the CM that holds the i7 has 4 M2 slots so it's not a PB (except for recovery and financial).
There is a filter at the bottom of the case that slides out, you have to think about it when you handle it to get a good grip on it.
For the price, with promotion, frankly a good case with 2 cool basic fans, modularity, a glass: good!
This enclosure is extremely easy to assemble.
The cable management allows a very clean assembly.
The PC is quiet and the component temperatures are well controlled.
Recommended for a first PC or a PC on a tight budget.
My criteria for the configuration I was mounting :
- space for big graphics cards (like an RX 6800)
- but not a huge tower either
- quiet
- sober but classy
- sufficient fans are provided
- efficient cable management solutions
- a price under 100 euros
- possibility to install water cooling later if needed
- dust filters under the tower as the PSU is mounted at the bottom of this model
Very satisfied with this purchase!
I'm very pleased with the quality of this product, it's very well thought out and has a very sober look. I don't regret my purchase at all, I recommend it.
Very good case, outstanding finish and I was surprised by the way they thought about the case. It is really well thought out, every inch of the case is thought out for maximum use.
The case is nice, nice glass to admire the setup and quiet.
In the end, I was able to plug in: 7 hard drives, ATX formula IX, MSI 1080Ti, Corsair 850W, Corsair h60, x3 be quiet! Silent Wings 3 140mm PWM (2 front, 1 top) and all this easily with a well detailed case manual
9/10: I could have given 10/10 easily but the only downside: The front USB 3.0 connector to the motherboard (20-1 pin usb 3) is quite difficult to connect if you have an ATX motherboard.
I highly recommend :)
