Huge and Beautiful
I didn't expect to receive such a monster, I had to work hard to get it out of the box and once I put it on the table I had a sober but beautiful monster at the same time.
The MSI MPG SEKIRA 500X case offers an assertive gaming style in homage to the axe of the Slavic god Perun and is colourful thanks to its ingenious RGB Mystic Light system. Compatible with ATX / Mini-ITX / Micro-ATX and E-ATX motherboards, it has 3 fans as standard and 3 additional empty slots for optimal cooling (you can also install a watercooling system with a radiator measuring up to 360 mm).
The MPG SEKIRA 500X also features an ARGB backlighting system that illuminates the interior of your machine, which you can view whenever you want thanks to the tempered glass window.

I didn't expect to receive such a monster, I had to work hard to get it out of the box and once I put it on the table I had a sober but beautiful monster at the same time.
First of all, I love the design of the case. Quite simple and modern, the RGB fans look great on the case. The lighting via Mystic light or via the supplied hub is really great. The case is very spacious. BUT ...
Unfortunately, I was able to verify what some people said on other sites and forums. The cooling in this case is just catastrophic.
First of all, the big problem is this dust screen. Apart from blocking the dust, this filter also blocks ... come on I would say 60 to 70% of the airflow. Secondly, the two top fans are installed in the intake, which leaves all the exhaust to the only 12cm fan installed behind. Another problem inherent to these fans installed in intake: if you install a watercooling in exhaust, the two airflows will counter each other, leaving a hot zone on the top of the case. So the processor is not well cooled anymore. The solution: turn the top fans around. But this brings us back to the problem of the grill which retains 60 to 70% of the hot air, so the heat is not evacuated properly. And there again, the problem of cooling the cpu. I haven't really tested it with an air cooler, but for a case designed to accommodate watercooling, it's a bit limiting.
And another problem (not really limiting in itself) due to this overheating: the metal strips that hold the doors closed are coming off, because the glue is softening due to the heat.
So I think that unless you are limited to office use, or play with the front and top removed, you end up with a nice overheating problem. Maybe you should have made the holes on the filters a bit bigger, or maybe you should have made the slots on the screens yourself. I don't really understand MSI's logic in installing the two top fans as intake fans rather than exhaust fans. Sure, the RGB looks better, but it reduces the cooling.
It's beautiful, great build quality (fortunately for the price??), is big (easy wiring even for me who didn't know anything about it) and has everything you need to do the cable management well.
I find the rgd fans very nice (and plenty of them, my 2080ti setup doesn't get too hot at the moment) and there is even usb type c for those who need it.
I'm not sure how much it costs, but for the quality and everything it offers, I'm not shocked.
I've been using it for a while now and I'm not sure if I'll ever need it again. In short LCLC I love you ?
I chose this case because I like this brand and I wanted to have a combination of MSI elements (case, motherboard + graphics)
It is aesthetically very beautiful and robust.
It is very spacious and my 30 cm CG fits without any problem. The windows on each side are very easy to open as they are hinged and held by a magnet. The cables are for the most part already attached and small clamps are provided to continue the cable management.
But this case is not perfect.
Access to the front and top fans is rather complicated, as the covers have to be removed from the inside and this is not easy to do, and there is one dust filter that can only be accessed by removing the front panel, so you don't have to open it regularly. Fortunately the power supply filter can be removed from the back without dismantling anything.
We have an accessory CG holder to put it vertically and ditto, it's difficult to fix it on the chassis because there is no real explanation and I tried without success to fix it from the outside, to finally get it in without being really sure that this is how it is supposed to be.
It's a pity that these negative points are present in relation to the price.
I'm still happy with this case and recommend it to anyone who wants to show off their components.
