Nice case but not very soundproof
I previously had an excellent Corsair 850D full-tower case with two loops of CPU and GPU WC. I'm switching to a different case to have USB-C connections on the front and because of the Corsair's footprint, which hinders the WAF.
No big surprise: the Fractal Design case is very well designed on the classic "Define" base.
The "all glass" aspect makes it very qualitative. I was able to install my two 280mm watercoolers without any problems. It accepts up to nine fans. A very good cable management is possible with a lot of choice in the organisation.
But as it is, with the four 140mm fans supplied, it certainly ventilates a lot but it is also very noisy. The fans supplied should be changed for soundproofing purposes. This increases the final price. Of course the fans are PWM and their speed can be controlled but beyond 800 rpm, it is a hair dryer.
On this subject, the supplied fan connector also looks really "cheap" for a case of this price and does not raise the RPM to the CM.
I'm not a big fan of LEDs in a PC but fortunately they are easily deactivated.
So a mixed opinion: a good and beautiful case but not a very good quality/price ratio especially if you have to change the fans and the PWM connection card.
As usual, no worries with LDLC's service quality.
