The sound is impeccable, the 7.1 does the job. I highly recommend it. Comfortable. Very nice to look at.
I use this headset for professional needs (1 headset at the office and one at home for telecommuting): Web conf in English on mobile or "skypy" with interlocutors on networks with variable quality. The microphone quality is very good (my interlocutors notice it immediately), better it seems than my old Hyper X Cloud.
The quality of the speakers is also very good for my professional use.
The foams are comfortable; I wear glasses and I don't feel any pain after several hours of conference calls.
The cable is too short when using the headset in jack connection directly on the PC.
It lacks a USBc adapter.
This is the reason why I'm withdrawing 2 stars.
As for the price, everyone will judge. Personally, my old "Cloud" headset still works very well after almost 4 years of professional use; the cushions are still perfect.
Note: I did not test the headset with its mini sound card. No interest for me.
The sound is very shrill with highs that hurt when using the dongle (mandatory for the 7.1), I had to put an equalizer in addition to correct that, but it's still not great.
The headset is comfortable
First of all it's been 2 months since I received the headset, having preferred to wait until I had used it for a while before being able to rate it.
I think I can say that it's worth the price, as I've only ever used cheap 20-40€ headphones. The change in quality was felt instantly, the ears are comfortable, and I wear the headset almost all day without any pain in my ears or head (having a large head I was afraid that the headband would hurt me in the long run but no).
I am very pleased with the sound which I think I can also say is superb quality, the adjustable bass on the headphones really works. I'm not used to the 7.1 yet but that's my fault I haven't really looked into it yet.
The microphone is also of very good quality because I can finally hear me without difficulty! Before I could hardly be heard for some unknown reason, my fellow players had to increase my sound on the voice programs.
The only negative point for me is that the audio control on the cable is too far away I think (but this may be just my opinion).
So here is my impression of this product, hoping to have helped some curious people.
Very good product to replace my old headphones. The sound quality is good and the detachable microphone is really nice.
The only problem is that the cable is too short to be plugged directly into the jack and so you have to go through the digital box in USB.
Otherwise nothing to complain about.
So, very fast, impeccable, as usual LDLC manages.
The product is worth 150 quid, no compatibility problems with my computer or certain programs.
The 7.1 is amazing.
The ONLY problem I find incredible for this price, there is no "kit" to help you change the headset foam. The only problem is that there is no "kit" to help you change the headset's foam, so don't change it frequently because it will tear.
I'm not sure if it's a good fit or not, but it's a good fit. Super quality. Just a pleasure to listen to!
Good Pc headset but not PS4 compatible yet its little brother also works on PS4...
How to make people buy the top model again .......
I'm not sure what to say about this one, but I'm sure it's a good one.
As a former user of the HyperX Cloud II, I decided to go for this headset to replace it and I am not disappointed with my purchase. After several days of use, mainly on gaming, this headset is for me an improved version of the Cloud II. More comfortable with ear cups that fit perfectly and with a better quality microphone according to my friends, it is a perfect successor to my old headset.
