As usual at AMD, a processor at the top of the performance, really happy ! !
The AMD Ryzen 7 3800X Wraith Prism LED RGB processor (3.9 GHz / 4.5 GHz) is one of the first PC processors to be etched in 7 nm and to support PCIe 4.0. The third-generation Ryzen, codenamed Matisse, impresses with 8 cores and 16 threads, a base frequency of 3.9 GHz and up to 4.5 GHz, 32 MB L3 cache and 105W TDP. It comes with its ultra-efficient and quiet AMD Wraith Prism LED RGB cooling system.
AMD's Ryzen 7 3800X offers a (re)introduction to high-end performance for gaming, content creation and intensive multitasking. With 16 threads and 36MB of GameCache, double the cache of the second generation Ryzen 7, it does EVERYTHING faster and smoother.
The Zen 2 cores are designed to make efficient use of available resources to optimise computational performance. Compared to the previous architecture, 2X floating point capabilities and up to 15% higher instructions per cycle enable performance to reach new thresholds. Zen 2 combines performance for next-generation applications with optimal energy efficiency.
The AMD Ryzen 7 3800X desktop processor offers 8 native and 16 logical cores for smooth multitasking. Thanks to its high native frequency and its Turbo Core mode, the third-generation AMD Ryzen CPU delivers exceptional performance in gaming, intensive multitasking, video editing, 3D modeling and more. The 32MB L3 cache also enables ultra-fast processing of large numbers of instructions with low latency.

As usual at AMD, a processor at the top of the performance, really happy ! !
Great value for money, no performance problems, happy with the product, I recommend it for a good purchase without breaking the bank
Very reliable and fast product. Can go up to 4.5 Ghz.
I've been using this processor for about 3 weeks now and I appreciate its speed, the previous one was faithful to me for 10 years, an AMD FX 4170 (4.2 GHz) until the crash of the motherboard, which alas no longer exists, otherwise I might not have changed my configuration and yes, I only buy out of necessity and not out of fashion or other futile needs. The only complaint is the slightly high TDP, otherwise the supplied ventirad fulfils its function perfectly and silently, except for my two Noctua fans on the front which work at the will of the motherboard, in short, what happiness!
Perfect, very good material. Just what I wanted. Functional and suitable for my use. Very good contact in the shop.
It's a great tool to play, stream and record all at the same time.
I don't regret buying it. Very good service from LDLC for the assembly and delivery
Very fast processor ... doesn't get too hot (really not, in fact with a NOCTUA NHU12S fan)
Excellent value for money compared to the competition.
In 2020, everything justifies the purchase of an AMD processor, which does what it is asked to do.
The pluses :
- The price
- The included cooling unit is very, very good
- The performance
The - :
- Temperatures a little unstable (can be 50 +/- 10°C in IDLE)
- The noise of the ventirad
A big plus for LDLC who delivered on time despite the confinement!
It is a rather good processor. It can be criticised for being rather hot. But at the same time, the performance is good. I wonder if this is also the case with the original fan, which seems to me to be rather light considering how much this processor heats up...
In short, good machine, good everywhere, excellent nowhere...
Installed with a custom watercooling, it still runs very hot at the moment.
(It's more a problem with my EK blocks and the mounting than the CPU).
80°C max all the way through rendering is a lot, whereas the vega64 OC is 60°C max, and it's after the 3800X in the loop.
Not really an OC, just put the Infinity fabric at 1900MHz and the 1/1 parallel memory at 3800MHz Cas 16-16-16
Asus B450M PRO Gaming motherboard, VRM/CPU/GPU in WC.
I preferred the 3800X over the 3700X because of the base frequency, 3.9GHz (instead of 3.2GHz on the 3700X I think...).
I've been using it for a while now, but it's a good product and I'd recommend it to anyone.
